Hacking Acekard2i For DSi Released!

huh..

after reading some of the forums..

looks like way more than half of the people who have AK2i defective card, almost everyone who have problem with it..

and there seem to have a lot of problems, such as stuck on loading screen, game doesn't load, card doesn't load or read, white screen crash, graphic/menu glitch...

lots of problem with it......

now I am a bit worry about getting this card...

Well there aren't really any other options...

Either wait for a more stable cart, or buy now and hope the firmware will solve all the problems.

will this work on the standard ds?

will you continue to provide updates for the normal acekard2?

Yes and Yes, as they stated it functions exactly like the ak2 its just boots up differently.

wouldn't it work with just a firmware update then?... i guess it should... but well u r the ones that know hehe

Its not just a firmware update, I reflashed an older AK2 with the new boot rom and it doesnt work in the DSi so it must be a hardware change.

Not sure why anyone else hasn't seemed to catch on to it, it's not really a hardware change. They went back to the Actels (the chip that bumps out the label) instead of using the newer 2.1's epoxy bumps likely because they had to change code in the asic; using actels is cheaper and faster to get to market in a limited run (afaik no one is sure at this point that the card can't be blocked by a update, what would be the sense in putting out the cash to retool the existing bumps for the new asic design.)

What's sweet is dealextreme now has it for like under 30! I love ordering these things from them. It seems like everytime I order an acekard 2 to put aside as a backup one of my friends gets a ds and sees my acekard so i end up giving it to them. I've got like 2 friends now who are waiting on me to order more

. I'll order more after christmas though and I think both of them will be paying me back something.

I should really just order a lot from dealextreme and sell it here a little bit more XD I'd make a bundle.

No...

However some games may have a menu in-game that allows you to set the language.
