IF THE UPDATE CHANGES THE ICON, THEN IT CONTAINS THE DATA FOR THE NEW ICON.

IF IT IS THE ICON OF A GAME THAT THE DSi WILL ACCEPT (which is the entire point), THEN IT IS TECHNICALLY ILLEGAL LIKE A ROM.

THEREFORE IT WILL NOT BE ON THE SITE, JUST LIKE THE 1.4 UPDATE WAS NOT HOSTED ON THE SITE.

I disagree.

1. If Nintendo was gonna sue someone, they would have sued Datel already for stealing the header info.
2. I'm pretty sure the new law about software to jailbreak mobile devices applies to the DSi. It would be Fair Use under US law.

You know when the 1.4 fix for the acekard was released, there was still a news post with links to mirrors on megaupload, etc.
Just not on filetrip.

And not on the official site either, because they play it safe. Hell, they were even listing game fixes by release number instead of game name for a time.

I posted to let people know why the site doesn't show it, and I posted large to get people's attention.

EDIT: Personally confirmed it changes the icon and still boots, but my DSi's still on 1.4 for the moment.
It's a better icon than Danny Phantom, finally.
