Hacking AceKard and R4

My son borrowed a friends R4 card to play some downloaded games. We have bought him an AceKard 2i and it will not work. My other son has a DS light is there a way for us to fix whatever problem we caused on his DS? I read somewhere that we can download something from one ds to the other? Is this true and what are the steps we need to take! Thank You

Could you please be a little more specific? Did you buy a microSD card for his acekard 2i and put the firmware for it on there called akaio?

TO the first reply yes that is what my husband did. He said he loaded version 1.5

have you installed akio or ace kard rpg the loaders to the micro sd card yet?

if you have installed the loaders is the dsi upgraded to 1.4 - if yes then you will need to use a ds lite or a dsi thats not 1.4 to upgrade the carts firmware

put the AK2/AK2i loader from http://akaio.gbatemp.net/nloaders/ and unzip it to your "__aio/loaders" directory on your card!

ok then try it on a ds or ds lite if it works on that you need to upgrade the acekard to 1.4

if it doesnt work then probley best to format the microsd and try again or it could be a problem with the cart itself

1. Stick a piece of folded paper between the DS and AK2i.
2. turn on ds.
3. ????
4. Profit!

thats the upgrade for 1.4 firmware where you can use a ds/ ds lite or a unupgraded dsi to upgrade the card to work on a 1.4 dsi
