Hacking Acekard 2i Download play messing roms up

I do not think this has been posted i have extensivly checked. Sorry if it has. As stated i have an Acekard 2i, i use a ds lite. Whenever i set roms such as ACWW or PKMN MD ET settings to download play, they cease to load. Any reason this may be happening? Also, am I right in asuming I should be able to link an acekard ds to an ordinary and play multiplayer?
Edit: Very sorry, i forgot to mention I am using AKAIO 1.4.

there is something wrong with AKAIO 1.4

every time when you change a ROM properties setting..

your rom will not load for w/e reason..

thats why I revert back to the old one..

Just change the default settings (select a folder or something and go to system options).
