Sorry dude, there hasn't been anything said about Ace Attorney for a while except for Ace Attorney Investigations. They're probably gonna milk that a little more before they get back to Apollo Justice.

Well, the next one is "Ghost Trick" its apparently "in the Ace Attorney-universe" but that isnt really an ace attorney game, more like a spin-off.
However, there have been rumors and announcement according a new ace attorney.
But thats about it, so just wait 2 weeks until E3 and see if some interviews leaks out. Since ghost trick-pr's will probably be interviewed (or else at TGS).

Hopefully some people actually do ask Capcom during E3 these questions, since E3 is basically closed off, and not forget it... because gaming journalist kind of sucks TBH. For some reason the only games they cover or talk about is the biggest ones.

I saw a trailer for that game as well... and it seemed to be in the same universe OR at least some characters make cameo appearances and stuff... (E.g. Phoenix)

That isn't a cameo, just a homage to those games. Either way, GS5 won't happen until Ghost Trick is out in the JP for a while. Right now, it's 15/16 days until it's released, and TGS happens in September so... yeah.

Even though they expand on the Ace Attorney universe, I really don't like spin-offs as much as the core series.

It is officially in the same universe. Ghost Trick and Ace Attorney. Seems there will be quite al ot of crossovers as far as we're concerned. Perhaps this game might be used to explain what happens in the afterlife in the Gyakuten Saiban world?
