Capcom is looking to release new Mega Man, DmC, and Ace Attorney games going forward

Capcom has a variety of beloved franchises that haven't seen much in the way of new entries as of late. A financial report from Capcom looking back on 2025 shows that the company did well, due to the successes of new Resident Evil, Street Fighter, and Monster Hunter titles. The higher-ups at the company, however, believe that Capcom needs to have more frequent entries into some of its more stagnant IPs in order to continue growing in the years ahead. Specifically, it looks like we'll be seeing remakes, new games, and ports of three series in the future: Ace Attorney, Devil May Cry, and Mega Man. Capcom also plans to expand on one of its development offices by 2027, leading to hiring more employees to work on these theoretical games.

Capcom owns a wealth of globally popular brands, such as Mega Man, Devil May Cry, and Ace Attorney. We aim to expand our user base and improve our performance through new releases, remakes, and ports of titles in these series to new hardware. By enhancing brand power and cultivating loyal fan bases, we will grow these into core IPs.

New megaman game? Well it sucks for the fans only released again all the old stuff megaman to the consoles (ps5,switch 2,xbox one etc). Capcom its a coward, lazy and dont want to risk money to make any new game from megaman, especially the megaman legends or X series.

11 overperformed, so maybe it's not such a risk. Okami 3 would be a risk

Why should they bother making new stuff when they can already make a giant sackful of cash by finally rereleasing Megaman Legends? Not to mention Ghosts 'n' Goblins/Gargoyle's Quest/Demon Crest/Maximo. And Viewtiful Joe. That's not cowardice; that's just good sense.

So what's taking so long..? Megaman Legends already has a Windows port.

Also, they ought to make Layton vs Wright more widely available. Someone put serious work into that one; it deserves a wider audience.

If this means bringing back Mega Man Starforce 4 and Mega Man Legends 3, then my life is yours. Nothing's stopping the latest entriees from still sticking to the same art style instead of potentially modernizing it with the standard.

If capcom announce right now megaman x9 and megaman legends 3 it will be a massive hype for those two games. But they wont do it, they are afraid to risk.

About your question everyone have played the old stuff from megaman and sure they will ported again because they want easy money. I want to see a new game megaman from this 2025 or 2026.

Note: Megaman X9 or some new game to see again the main characters zero&x .

Can we please finish the Rockman X -> Zero storyline?
The original Rockman is not that good IMO, X/Zero are much better games and characters.

Can we also make a decent new Breath of Fire entry that is actually a game that looks and play like BoF I-IV, specially IV?
Can we never make mobile gacha games again, please?

Capcom can give SF a break for a good long while you know.

I kind of assumed that Pragmata might be a Mega Man game in disguise, but I'll gladly take another official entry in the series.

Nah SF6 continues to be THE 1v1 fighting game, player count has remained very high, and aside from Monster Hunter it's their biggest cash cow. They use different development teams for everything else though.
