Unless you can get into HBC somehow, probably not. There's no BootMii or Priiloader for vWii so there is absolutely no brick protection if something bad happens. If you have a vWii NAND backup then there may be hope but it will require a hardware flasher.I have an old Wii U that I bricked the vWii.
Is it possible to repair that Wii U now so it can update and use the vWii again?
It hasn't been used for almost a year now.
That's not what they meant lol. If there are any modifications, corruptions, or missing vIOSs in vWii, then the Wii U will 99% fail to update.I don't think updating your Wii U touches the vWii, correct me if I am wrong.
Oh. Lol. I am the idiot of the decade. That's not what they meant lol. If there are any modifications, corruptions, or missing vIOSs in vWii, then the Wii U will 99% fail to update.
No worries; remember the saying ~ you learn something new every day.Oh. Lol. I am the idiot of the decade.

How did you brick it?
Thanks for correcting me.No worries; remember the saying ~ you learn something new every day.
Can you still access the vWii home menu?I think I installed some wii ios.
I don't think i can access HBC or have a NAND backup.
I just want to know if the current wii U hacking can let me fix the Wii U so I can sell it or use it for homebrew.
Just wait for IOSU Exploits then you may be able to access to vWii file dir then put everything back up.
Wii IOS will not work on vWii due to hardware differences, so if you replace an important IOS like the one used by system menu, you have an irrecoverable brick (without a NAND backup)OP, the reason I ask whether you have access to the vWii home menu still is because you said you only installed Wii IOSes, so unless I am mistaken and they are actually detrimental to vWii, then you won't have bricked the vWii home menu; only the ability to update.
I have practically been in the same situation as you once before. What you will need to do is try and use an exploit game, if you still have one, to boot into the ELF version of Yet Another Mod Manager Mod for vWii and try to install back fresh vWii IOSs.
When I managed to prevent my Wii U from updating by installing Wii IOSs, I installed every single vWii IOS again onto my system and my Wii U finally managed to update again! So I hope this little piece of advice will work for you like it did for me; hopefully assuming the System Menu still works.
Ah I've seen worst.Oh. Lol. I am the idiot of the decade.
if you update to 5.5.1 then there were some changes to vwii but that is if you can update at all since hacked broken vwis normaly stop the wiiu from updating altogether. Is there any WiiU game that updates vWii ? I have a WiiU with a bricked vWii on version 1.0.3e , it is too old to load exploits such as NexoCube posted . The WiiU can't update the firmware , probably due to the vWii brick . I have tried with a game , but it still doesn't boot
