Another o3DS updated from 9.2 Sysnand without issue, with 11.0 EmuNAND injected.
Now to painfully retrieve all my saves from the Gateway :)

Hi! Sorry if it's been answered before.
CTRTransfer keeps failing on me when i try for 2.1.
Keeps telling me image is corrupt/modified. (EUR) DL'd it from MEGA and GD already. (am yet to try the torrent ver)

EDIT: nvm, i tried with another SD card. it worked. I'm doing this for a friend. Sorry if i wasted your time

Hello i'm new in a9lh thingy, i carefully to follow the newest guide and luckily it work well :D
but in the guide it didnt mention to make an emunand, do i need emunand in luma/a9lh ? how to make one ?
also if i still want to use .3ds game i need to use gateway too right? but i dont want to restricted to them so is there any way to use gateway but without being restricted to their version of a9lh?

thank you so much :)

You don't need an emuNAND. If you have a Gateway card and want to be able to use it, follow https://gbatemp.net/threads/tutorial-using-luma3ds-with-gateway-on-v2-a9lh.431691/

Huh, I might actually consider switching to A9LH. I have a 9.1 JPN n3DS with menuhax+Luma3DS installed, where would I begin? I'm a little confused with the 9.2 downgrade part since I'm already on an exploitable firmware but it insists I downgrade anyway. (Sorry if this question's been answered already but there's like 20+ pages.)

Could you please tell me where it says to downgrade? I've looked through the new guide and if you follow the table correctly I haven't seen it say to downgrade 9.2. If you go with the Homebrew Launcher (Browser) listed in the 9.0-9.2 section it says
"
All versions above 9.2.0 should continue to 9.2.0 Downgrade.
If you are between 9.0.0 and 9.2.0, do the following:"

I genuinely want to know where the guide is telling you to downgrade, as I can't seem to find it anywhere and would like to know as to help others.
But to answer your question you don't need to downgrade

damn it I know this is probably been talked about, but I just want to be sure.

in Section 1 prep work #3 says: Delete the 3ds folder from the root of your SD card if it exists. (I just copied it to desktop)

then #17 says: Copy DspDump.3dsx to the /3ds/ folder on your SD card.

does that mean just make a new 3ds folder on root and paste DspDump.3dsx in the new 3ds folder?

You need to properly read and follow the guide, you missed step 4 which tells you to put the contents of starter.zip onto your SD, which in turns places a new 3ds folder on the root of your SD.

thanks! it looks like I put the starter folder on the root. not the contents. thanks again!!!!

I just went through the downgrade using the new guide and all I can say is the new "sysdowngrader" is terrible. It just won't stick and I had to switch to the old plaisysupdater which worked on the first try.

What entrypoint and what firmware were you on?
So far I've only downgraded from 10.3 (multiple times), and always get 100% boot and downgrade rate when using Freakyhax

I had an 11.0 o3ds, i downgraded via fieldrunner to 10.4. After that I used menuhax as entrypoint.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Basically, whenever I used sysdowngrader it will give me this error

Werid, afaik both PlaiSysUpdater and sysDowngrader were made by the same person (Plailect)

Since some people are having trouble with sysdowngrader. Here's my experience.

SysDowngrader works well when using it to downgrade Old 3DSes (tried it with 10.3 and 10.7) however using it to new 3DSes I experienced the same problem on 2 different new 3dses. In the middle of the downgrade proccess, the 3ds will display an error on the bottom screen and prompts me to press and hold the power to shut down. This will leave me with partial downgrade, using plaisysupdater seems to fix the problem. So from now on, i'll be sticking to plaisysupdater until sysdowngrader is updated.

You'll downgrade to 2.1, but it won't be like other downgrades, you'll restore a backup from 2.1, install a9lh, then restore your system back. It's incredibly safe and easy now.

i was thinking install the gateway fastboot to saveme some headaches and lot of time, but now I'm ready for this wonderful short guide!!
Don't do it! Just do the guide. It's not as complicated as you think! Just whatever you do, don't use a Gateway until you install A9LH with Plailect's guide! Then y ou can use your Gateway for games after.
