Hello, I want to ask if there is anyway to reach out Nintendo (like using a ticket or an email.) about establishing a regional e-shop and regional office in my country. Currently there's no Nintendo office that's established in my country (No support at all here.) The country I live in is Indonesia. I know this seems a bit of a stretch but I just want to voice myself out a little bit to Nintendo. Thank you in advance!

Something like that happened in my country. We had no direct representation (it was a third party that sold Nintendo products) and people started to complain. Years later, they ended their partnership and we now see advertising and shelves filled with Nintendo products.

I'd start by sending emails to Nintendo directly. Maybe there's a direct email in Nintendo Japan?

While regretable, I don't believe it would make any difference.
The easiest way to contact Nintendo would be through twitter these days, however some markets may not be viable at all for Nintendo. It's not just about selling a game in a specific market, there's a lot of paperwork involved and costs that may not always offer return.

they really only have phone support for each country. The Switch is region free and it's easy to make an account for any region/country so you can import a switch and enjoy as if it was like any other.

but in terms of plea to them, I would either talk to either the marketing team of Nintendo America or japan via skype during there time of operation or their twitter

would u like to know how to get a switch and a way to buy games from the e shop?

While I know it's quite a futile thing to do, I just want to reach out my voice honestly. I'll try contacting Nintendo towards twitter first then. Also the eng->jpn would be a great help! I'll keep updating for how it unfolds.

I already have a switch. The only problem I had is really the price of the games. Since there's no e-shop for my region. The price falls pretty high and expensive.

i thought everybody knew cocktails are like 75% ice
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Yeah but not like this.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's not like they're complaining that their Slurpee is 99% ice or something, but if the cocktail calls for "shot of vodka, shot of vermouth, shot of gin, shot of Campari, three shots of juice, squirt of lemon" and ends up being a thimbleful of booze, that's a problem.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the funny thing is cocktails in norway are only allowed to have 1 20ml shot of booze
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    so..... yeah
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
we're used to only having a thimbleful of booze
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Booo.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
same thing if you want whisky on the rocks or something, you can't get a double
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but you could buy as many shots of whisky (or anything else) as you want and ask for a glass of ice and pour them in
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    it's dumb
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Maybe.

There was a comparison of the number of Ibuprofen poisonings before and after they limited the maximum dosage per box or per pill (i'll look that up). No limit on the number of boxes you can still buy as many as you want, so people argued it was pointless.
  • Veho @ Veho:
But the number of (accidental) poisonings dropped because drinking an entire package of ibuprofen pills went from "I need a new liver" to "I need a new box of Ibuprofen".
  • Veho @ Veho:
Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.

Usually accidentally overdose of ibuprofen here is from people taking like cold medicine then ibuprofen for a headache and the combination is over what they need
