A proxy works by loading the content onto an unblocked server then forwarding that content on to the computer you are on. It would cost too much money for most proxies to work using large files like YouTube videos. The video would have to be loaded onto the proxy then sent to you PC, not to mention the proxy owner would have to write special code for each video service.

My friend wouldn't code for videos. Anyway, I think he blocked youtube...
