Ssssoooo

I'm gonna play LttP, maybe "Let's Play" it. And I don't know which version to play.
I made some research on it and most people say that the SNES version is better than the GBA one because the GBA's resolution is worse and it has annoying sounds.

But whatever, I'm asking you, which version of A Link to the Past should I play, GBA or SNES?

RAINBOW

There's a difference? Aside from Link screaming when slashing his sword in the GBA version, I never noticed anything different.

Yeah, I forgot to mention. Recommend based on the title itself, I don't really care about Four Swords

There was also a new dungeon added. But you can only get through it by beating Four swords IIRC.

I recommend the SNES one over the GBA one, but thats just me. I played both versions throughly.

If I recall the only differences are that link yells and they renamed the Chris Houlihan room. I also noticed that the dialogue in the gba version is slightly different from the original.

I would say do SNES.

My bad. No Chris Houlihan room in the gba version

The GBA version of the game has made the Dark World's Ice Dungeon TRIVIALLY simple. It's an insult to the game if you ask me.

The ice dungeon or whatever was revamped.

EDIT: Also all this.

It was only one room and the second-to-last floor that was revamped.
The rest is pretty much identical.
Except what you fail to mention is that one room has a puzzle that required you to back track through the dungeon in certain manner to open the path to continue. So rather than relying on problem solving skills, I believe it now requires 'whack a button, move on'.

The GBA version also has that spot that requires you to whack a button and backtrack in pretty much the same way as the SNES version.
The layout is just different.

The four swords quest is pretty hard if you have not collected 100% of everything, in the gba version.

If you gotta cheat your way through, this will help:

I'm not really interested in the four swords.

And I don't cheat, it ruins the games. But thanks anyway I guess.
