Hacking A Different Firmware then Wood?

Hi all I have a R4i Gold from http://www.r4ids.cn and I was wondering if it is possible to run AKAIO on it instead of running R4iDSN team's customized wood firmware.
I've tried running the DSTT+Moonshell 2.02 firmware on the card but it doesn't boot or I followed one of the steps incorrectly.

any help would be appreciated.

No you cannot run AKAIO on R4i Gold. AKAIO is for Acekard only.

Well Wood or R4iDSN Team's Wood+Moonshell kernel which doesn't play certain games properly as it uses an older version of wood but you can update the wood binary itself for that package and get the updated game fixes but other then that I guess i'm stuck

not sure why ur saying it as if its a bad thing. akio is shit compared to wood anyways. wood has themes, hombrew comparability and 100% nds game comparability with un-patched games so i dont really know why youd want akio tbh.
