Gaming A Basic Guide on How to Create AR codes

Hi guys. I was reading through all the pages in this thread, and I have a few questions. Ok starting off, I have hacked codes before for PS2 games, so I do have some background in code hacking. But when I tired polle's guide to making pointer codes I could not get it. I know the basic of using EmuCheat and No$GBA, but when it comes to making pointer codes it does not work for me. So I am here asking for a little help and clarification.

If u told me precisly what u did I can probably find your mistake

Oh, and for all off u that need a debugger: I might have found a solution:

Since NO$ debugger is not possible to get our hands on, I MIGHT have an idea (but it will take time to do so)
same as with pointer codes, we are going to use 2 cheat engines

-emucheat
-cheat engine (google it)

first we find a normal adress, like lives or something, and we search that adress with both engines

so with emucheat we will find an adress BUT with cheat engine we will find a DIFFERENT adress! ( the emucheat adress works on a flashcart)

so now we do the emucheat adress minus the cheat engine adress and that will get us a number (XXX)

now we search for our adress that keep changing using cheat engine. (remember the robot whit cheese?)

once found we can use cheat engine to find what adress is writing to our found address.

we now have the correct cheat engine address but this will not work on a flashcart.

so to make it work: we do the cheat engine adress plus the XXX

we should now have a legit flashcart adress ^^


note: I am not completly sure of this but theoreticly it should work

How do change the speed of the game because I wanna make a cheat that makes Pokemon Pearl run twice as fast.

by limmiting the frames per second, but thzt is only possible by modifieing ur flashcart
I don't think u can do that with a cheat unless the game has a built in speed controller

Anyways, guys I need a little more help with TrackMania(E)

I've been trying for AGES to make a "Accelerate to get 300 speed instantly" or something... and while fiddling... I came up with this code:

Now.. this particular code, is new for me. Whenever I accelerate with this code, I start jumping my speed by about 54... So my speedometer thing goes 54, 108, 162...

But when I try to raise the value any higher than 000000FF, it stops working.

And yes, I remembered to change the code to 1 at the start.

Anyone know what's wrong folks?

You are making a 8 bit write.
This is prob why it wont go any higher.... FF = 255.
And as far as I know the highest number a 8 bit system can hold.

the character modifier is an asm code so you can't make it with emucheat(or any program like it, unless it can handle asm codes)

well thanks mrfatso. I had tested it on my N5 and it worked, so I was wondering if it would work for anyone else. About all the souls in village/Forest etc. I knew it would be face value, I just included it in there because it was along the same line. now if I could really get the hang of pointer codes then I think I will be alright.

well it is supposed to make the Chi Flow River(Health Bar) Fill up on every new screen. By chance did you test out the Brothers in Arms cheat yet. Also I have a couple codes for Puzzle Quest that are not in the database as of yet(e.g. Max Mana, Turn Count Always Low)

i see, okay i give it a shot later and also the brother in arm, hmm, i try and get the game and then i test the code out

Cool. Again thank you mrfatso. I think those codes should be fun for people. I will work on Kung Fu Panda Warriors sometime this weekend. I just got it and did not do anything yet.

Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords

This is the true Max Mana code. The one in the database right now is from me (Kodewerx) but it kinda freezes your game if you don't have an activator. The reason is because one part of the code is for the value, the other part is for the display bar. So this one right here is just the value part, because I took out the other part of the code. So your mana will start at zeroes in the beginning of the round then go up to 255 each.
