I'm not counting third party characters like Mega Man and Pac Man but they do deserve honorable mentions. Let's be honest It wasn't like Nintendo had many first party icons back then but the ones that they did have are the "legends of gaming". I started off as a NES kid (granted due to my age I should have been a SNES kid but too poor. In hindsight I'm glad I stared with NES). I wouldn't mind having my top shelf covered with 8 Bit Amiibos as an homage to the Nintendo console that started it all. People, feel free to share your thoughts
