Hacking 64GB micro sd problem

Ok so i bought today a 64GB micro sd for my 3ds to use with rxtools.
i formated it to fat32 with hp format tool and it works with the 3ds, but when i try to load rxtools or gateway launcher my 3ds just freezes.
should i use a diffrent formatter.

my 3dsxl is on 9.2u and I am loading them with the browser. the micro sd is a 64GB sdxc class 10. it was bought from staples

Have you tried backing up your data and then formatting emunand? Not exactly sure what your issue is, I've got a 64gb micro SD card in my N3DS which works perfectly with emunand.

i cant even get into the launcher to format the emunand. its a new micro sd so it doesn't have emunand on it yet

Sounds like a different issue. What's your entrypoint? Do you know without a shadow of a doubt that you have all the appropriate files on the SD card?

im using the browser and the gateway launcher is just 1 file.
anyways im going to try my phones 64gb card. maybe i was unlucky and got one that doesnt work with rxtools or gateway web launcher


Edit 1: ok so phones 64gb card had the same problem.
Edit 2: tried a different sd formatter called guiformat but it only formats till 32gb
Edit 3: i tried my micro sd formatted to 32GB and it booted the gateway launcher.
Edit 4: im formating the emunand. right now
Edit 5: the gateway emunand formatter formated the 64gb card back to 64gb(well 57gb) from 32gb.
Edit 6: its working now

and where did you buy the microsd? If you bought it online from amazon or ebay, chances are you have a fake

Even if it is sold and fulfilled by amazon? :S I guess that only applies to third party vendors?
