I'm currently using 6.39 PRO-B8. Should I upgrade to B9 or to 6.60 PRO-B9? Not really sure which one to upgrade to.

Also: I have to uninstall B8 and its CIPL in order to upgrade to B9 right?

pretty sure you can unsintall previous revisions of PRO with the next installer, i always did with not a problem

OK updated to 6.20 PRO-B9 just for lulz and updated version.txt to 6.60. Nothing special new.
Am I tripping or was overclocking 333 and now only 300?
Not actually overclocking, more like fullclocking, but yeah in most CFWs it can be clocked to 333. Can it not in B9? Could it in previous versions?

Install CWCheat then load Chains of Olympus or something similar. Then bring up the CWCheat menu and check what speed it says the game is playing at. Should be 333 but if that ceiling is hard coded into that firmware it'd probably be lower.

I'm still able to clock to 333 in 6.20 PRO-B9 via the VSH menu, but the option in the recovery menu IS limited to 300/150 now.

And it doesn't seem to work. Starting Burnout: Dominator with either setting changed still reports it as 222mhz when it's running (even after restarting the PSP).

Is that a PRO bug or a B9 specific problem?

It may be a B9-specific problem. I don't use the feature often, but I do seem to remember it working when I was making the 6.x-compatible RemoteJoyLite guide (I generally clock the CPU to 333mhz to avoid slowdown in the main menu).

I'm still able to change the clock rate in programs that have that option (such as Masterboy), and it functions properly there.

Did you try changing it through cwcheat? Or would that not work also?

Probably a stupid question, but I've tried several versions and I can't seem to get it to work.

Is cxmb compatible with this firmware?
Some plugins needed to be modified for 6.x, you need the 6.x version of CXMB, and you need 6.x themes. Far too often I see people just "convert" older 5.x themes and they end up with missing icons and shit since 6.x has more menu entries...
