Yeah my area is seeing unleaded at over $4.50 as of yesterday and I don't believe it's ever been this high for so long.

Not sure if there's a thread for the shitty economy, so the midterms is a good enough link between the two. Thought I'd share this because it made me laugh.

 
I don't typically watch broadcast tv and most of what I watch is ad free, but I'll occasionally be at a bar or restaurant with a sporting event or etc on at at least in my state , all the GOP ads are basically trans panic and "fighting the woke agenda" without any details as to what they even mean by it.

I mean it'll convince the dullards but there's no substance there, not even an attempt at lies.

Imaging being so full of hate for what people decide to do with their genitals, that they're willing to ignore their own country burning down around them while the rich loot their pockets.

The pattern will be the same as it always is.
1. MAGA will say they're against illegal actions.
2. Trump will do something blatantly illegal, but have others do the actual deed for deniability.
3. MAGA will do their best to say it wasn't illegal, or that Trump didn't do it himself, so the god-king is not culpable.

That being said, we won't be hearing much from the usual suspects on this site. Trump's corruptness is pretty demonstrable to the point that there's no defense. Not only does everyone know that Trump will lie and do anything he can to gain more power, we expect it at this point.

Ah, Kennedy. What a useless old git. The other quote on that article is equally damning.

(I also had the wrong Kennedy envisioned. This isn't mr. brainworm, but that Southener who's...sorry. I want to say "also quite a cartoony character", but it might be unfair, as it's mostly the extra juicy bits that gain international traction)

If the GOP were to nullify the will of the people that voted overwhelmingly to vote in Democrats, the MAGA supporters would just post memes in support of the illegal actions. If they attempt and fail to get away with it, the supporters will just say the election was stolen like in 2020.

They'll find any way to insulate their feeble gaslit minds. Accepting the reality that they're in support of the downfall of their country is too painful after all this time.
