Hey, for the early versions of 6.x I was telling users to stick with 5.x, but 6.x is getting better and better.

I see that. Sorry for being such an ass and such in the other thread.

Once popsloader is easier to use for 6.xx PRO firmware, I'll probably make it a point to update. I just want to play FFIV: Complete Collection without any extra work really. Those freezing cut-scenes make it all so much more difficult.

Apology accepted.

I told you; there is good reason we say what we say.

We have been on the scene (xist, Rydian, and I) since it started. I am pretty sure xist knows more than both of us, but we are all pretty educated.

I am excited to see Pops in work! Gonna set this up ASAP.

Everything I'm reading about the new pops right now is confusing. I'm in the group that will gladly wait for a pre-compiled version.

so I take it I need a version newer than the B7 release build, where can one find the nightlies?

I'm feeling very herp derp today.

Well, I guess I'll get to installing Hellcat's Recovery Flasher, get rid of 5.50 Prome-4, upgrade to 6.20, install 6.20 PRO-B7, use the permanent patch, and go that route.
Out of curiosity, since it's likely that my saves won't work after updating; is there a way to get my saves functioning again?

Edit: Well, I just read about nightly builds. Thus, is this only for the newest, not officially released versions of PRO?

@ Nathan Drake: backup your saves first; then if they are corrupted put them back on and try. And yeah; jurai go to 6.20 PRO-B7 (unless you have a 1000 or 2000) because then it can be permanent. 1000 ans 2000 are the only models that can use the perma patch on 6.39. 6.20 has online and all the same features.

@ Nathan Drake: correct. use Hellcat's Recovery Flasher to go to 6.20 (since 5.50 GEN D-2 and up makes it think it's 9.90 LULZ) and Hellcats will work around that. @ jurai I dunno what you're no you MAY have to do the same (if your psp tells you you're on 9.90 when you try to update).

After 6.20 go run the PRO installer, then the perma patch, and it's done!

Sweetness. I'll go ahead and jump on that in a little. Shouldn't take any time really to get it all done.

I'm on 5.00 m33-6 with prometheus extensions installed

so I should use 6.20 instead cuz it can go online and isnt missing anything from 6.39? I'm on a 1000

If you're on a 1000 you can update to 6.39 if you like, and still use the perma patch. Yeah, update to 6.39 and them run PRO-B7, then the perma patch.

6.20 ALSO has online (all the same features as 6.39 PRO-B7) So it doesn't really matter.

Wait, the perm patch is for 7.20, not 6.39.

you mean 6.20?

And yeah, so you know, 6.39 has a perma patch for 1000s and 2000s only, like I said.

6.39 will have online and what not too?

just double asking since you said 6.20 had it over 6.39 earlier, tho maybe you only meant that in the context of having perma installed

Yes. ALL PRO-B7 CFWs have online. They Don't HAVE to be perma patched to work online; but 6.39 and 6.20 both can be perma patched on 1000s and 2000s.

You can use PSARDumper to extract them yourself; otherwise, I am sure somebody will have a full set somewhere on the net soon (if not already).
