For up to 4.01 you should be able to use this

Remember that the Go firmware files are different to the normal ones which means that they'll be two distinct "packages" for the 6.xx firmwares.

Out of curiosity, how many times has popsloader been officially updated?

Just want to know what I should be looking for.

yeah I don't have all the various fw pbp's collected so its generally easier on my end to just download when someone posts the pops modules

Just seems like that an update every version would be unnecessary, though I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case.

I guess there are worse things than having 20 versions of popsloader to go through. :3

Popsloader was never really "officially" updated; often times other people picked up the original work and modified it to work on later firmwares (like VF did). If you wanna get technical; yeah, you could just say Pops is updated every time that a new OFW comes out, because new pops modules are released and you can update yourself.

The reason why you need/would want all the modules for each FW is simple; some games require a different Pops to run. i.e. Final Fantasy VII used to not work unless you used 3.71 pops for the longest, or you would get battle freezes and stuff. That's why you want a complete set of modules so you can choose which pops to run for which game (essentailly allowing your PSP to run every game through selecting which pops to run).

Sorry if that was obvious, just wanted to clear it up.

That explantion could have probably been worded better though.

@ 8BitWal: no need to use Pandora, Bro! Just use Hellcat's Recovery Flasher or Some1's Downgrader.

So basically: Get all of the modules, refer to that handy compatibility page for PSX EBOOT's, and have fun.

installed popsloader with the 6.39 nightly, havent tested various pops versions but pops menu did popup when holding appropriate key. However, when I selected to use POPS From Flash, I got a game could not be started menu. Starting game without popsloader worked fine. hm

also, the pops layout for this new popsloader is different than the old one, so an old pops pack is probably not gonna do you any good

Yep.

@ Jurai: strange. I still have not tried it yet so I can't comment on it yet. What game did you run? Also, an old Pops pack should work fine (prx's from old 3.XX and 5.XX wouldn't change

).

I already found a complete Popsloader pack for 6.xx PRO CFW, put together today it looks like.

Not sure if I can post the site here or not though. If you are curious, google "popsloader pack" and it should be the first sub-link under the first result.

I am pretty sure you can.

Since I link to dask hacks all the time, and we always post links to update pbps and such. This is what you mean I assume:

-snip-

That would be the one. I just combed the site to see what it was anyways, and realized it was fine. You saved me time though, and that person saved everybody time.

no, an old pops pack wont work, he completely changed the file layout.

Really? huh. I dunno how that would be...

either way, this is a NEW pops pack for 6.XX, compiled today.

So it should work. Hold on, I am mirroring to Filetrip now...

EDIT: You're right, Jurai. there IS a new format, thanks for the correction. it is all set up properly in the pack from iamafreak I linked to, SO MUCH TIME saved! Make sure to thank him if you can. He did a lot of work setting that up.

Sony files are copyrighted. Grab a psardumper and get them yourself.
So i do believe, the files are copyrighted, and so cannot be linked to for download, but most people would just google and download the full package to save time........

Whoops. Ok, I will remove the link. My bad!

Nathan Drake, please remove the link from your posts, sorry.

Apparently, 1000,2000,3000, and Go all use the same modules. The pops pack works perfectly on my Go! Sweet. Just FYI, you CAN NOT use pops FWs that your PSP is not compatible with, so 3000 can't use anything below 5.XX, and Go can't use anything below 5.70 I think?

Well, my single post.

But no worries, the link has been effectively snipped out. I figured something was probably up when I read that disclaimer and saw that the files in question were already there.

I only have one game to try but I can't get Street Fighter Zero 3 (Alpha 3) to work. I tried the correct Compatibility fw and others but nothing worked.

I am using PSP GO 6.20 PRO B-7 (last stable release)
the /modules/ are in setplugins and the two pops .prx are in the root of setplugins. I also got all the other .prx missing from source from dashhacks.

what can i be doing wrong?

The current pops available for PRO firmware is made for the nightly builds. It's not really made for the stable builds.
