Yeah I stopped trying to launch HBL automatically. I just built a page that has two single links for my family. One says "run me 1st" and the other says "run me 2nd". 1st link is kexploit10 and 2nd is HBL. It works 100% of the time and it's easy for them.

Sounds like a good plan, what do I modify to get that effect? I've noticed running HBL alone can cause an issue with the Wii U hanging too, a two stage launch would do fine.

Just click the third link down first. It's the loadiine kexploit. Then return to browser and launch HBL or loadiine.

WHY, ok first problem (and only so far) is I do see the webpage for localhost ect. it works on the computer i input the ip even though (on wii u) it is a ipv4/ ip adress . I put in on wiiu "http://192.168.0.14/wiibrew" doesn't work and whats even more stupid is if I put that vary same adress on my pc it works perfectly fine

Finally got this all-in-one package working on my Apache2 server alongside my Observium install. Works great! Just wondering if there was any progress on why the 5.3.2 link doesn't work - I can still manually hit the exploit page directly, and it works, but it would be good to be able to use the menu itself. Unfortunately I'm no good with PHP otherwise I'd troubleshoot it myself.

Cheers for your hard work.

I had my hands on 5.3.2 for just a bit but I don't have one anymore. Just my 5.5.1 now. I've sorta given up on 5.3.2 anyway.

I think most people are hanging on to the old firmware in hopes it will give them some sort of "edge" on any future exploit. It's been like this since Christmas. I wouldnt hang my hopes on false promises at the expense of hassel free homebrew now. Just upgrade and enjoy whats out there now. Just MHO.

how did you get it working, the whole locahost/wiibrew works on pc internal ip works on pc, but doesn't on my wiiu I did shut of firewall did nothing, I've gone as far as going into my router settings and I see nothing that would prevent my computer from getting it going.

You're not typing "localhost" on the wii u right? You need to replace "localhost" with your computers IP address.

It probably has nothing to do with your wii u. Make sure that you can access the site using a different device on your network (phone, tablet, laptop etc)

are you sure the server is bound to the correct network card in your pc
are you using wifi
have you set guest network
are you hijacking a different wifi signal
have you separated ports with vlan
are you on the same subnet as your wii

just some ideas

I assume you mean something like didn't show
be sure to put them in the correct folder.

sd:\\WiiU\games\gamename\

and inside there subfolders:
code
content
meta

Meta is important without it, the game won't show up.
It needs meta.xml at least.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

    but that's a long shot

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
