Since ive seen Modern Vintage Gamer running 4ifir ive been wondering if anyone could do a real benchmark comparing performance metrics between the two options?

oh wow, 57 fps on suite and 44 on 4ifir?
jesus, thats rough.
I wonder why so many people use 4ifir then

switch oc suite is 4ifir lite basically, since one is the part of the other

4ifir noone needed and аuthor with a greatly inflated self-esteem Russian.

Thanks to a marketing policy based on lies about incredibly high parameters, which in fact are fake. But people tend to be gullible.

Nationality has nothing to do with it. This is a problem of a single individual.

I guess Modern Vintage Gamer really is not as smart as he appears to be, if he prefers 4ifir.
The difference in performance is massive

it's understandable considering how you have to know a specific niche discord server to learn how to utilize oc suite and this scene changes very fast

Okay, so can we have versions of 4IFIR and Suite? Can we have a video where we can see gameplay of this game? You just threw out this screenshot without any information. But you know what, I have a video with 4ifir 1.7.
4IFIR 1.7 CPU 1020 GPU 768 RAM Optimised Governors ON Dock mode on the handheld

One of these threads again?

Unless someone do an framerate analyze outside the Switch. I won't believe any numbers any longer... Numbers can be faked. Some claim 4ifir do fake numbers, some claim they're real. I don't know what to believe any more.

Sorry, but did you accidentally mix up the screenshots? I have an old version of 4ifir and I can easily play TOTK through a TV at 60fps, and the operating time on a portable device decreases slightly. I have Switch OLED
No, i don't mix it. The information is placed correctly. You're right, there is no problem with the CPU undervolt (because it just wasn't there) in the old versions, it exists in the new versions (1.7, 1.8) and has not been fixed for a long time. This is a typical situation for 4IFIR, it happens all the time.

I attach a video, no problem.

I use neither nowadays. A year or so ago 4IFIR was faster.

That said, there is a huge drama about this 4IFIR vs OC Suit here on GBATemp. I never bothered to understand why.

(although maybe I already saw a racist post in this very thread, I said "maybe" because the literal translation for my language results in something racist, I do not dominate the nuances of English)

TLDR about the drama.

It was said that 4ifir wasn't safe. It was also said to hyperflate numbers and wasn't agreeable with reality. Plus refused to publish the source code for 4ifir even tho he have to according to the GPL code.

No need to keep up with the drama to be honest, mostly just caused us moderators a headache when people started spamming other threads with 4ifir posts when it wasn't relevant or even off-topic to the thread itself.

As you can see in the video, I didn't even have the highest 4ifir settings, just a medium level.
2496 ram and 1152 gpu... nice medium level)
Post automatically merged:

it makes me laugh how 4ifir fanatics are trying their best to protect him from the tests that were in their group...

sys-clk exposes real frequencies with version 2.0.0. It is just a matter of using 4IFiR loader.kip with original sysmodule (it doesn't affect any voltages and timings) and overlay to see if any of those clocks are faked. Using closed source sys-clk sysmodule (like in 4IFiR) can result in tampered results.

Example what can happen if you don't set correct voltages for CPU (this is not from 4IFiR)
1. Target frequency
2. Real frequency

Though the best way is to check them while playing, and this is why I'm working on getting those info from sys-clk sysmodule to status monitor + few other things for 1.0.0 release.

Are you sure? 1.7 4ifir has no problems with undervoltage. So if the problem exists, it's a new bug
4IFIR 1.7 CPU - 918 GPU - 614 RAM - 2323 Docked mode on handheld.
CPU voltage limit 1100 Gpu Volt 610 Vddq 600mv Vddq2 1200 Emc DVB Table 1 Timings 5-5-5-6-5-3
Look at avg battery drain 4.6 w and fps
At the end of the video the real metrics i just used sys-clk 2.0

Yeah, sure. This problem is more than a month old, it's not new. A lot of people have done tests in different games, the result is clearly visible on my videos, the problem exists.
