thanks frog for the guide. followed everything to the letter on a 4.3u virgin to 90% success.
i had problems with the darkcorp sort of having a smashed/messed up dos screen while installing and nothing seemed to be happening so i reset and restarted. the wii reads the backup game but when i load it from the wii game disc channel it gives me a cannot read disk error. restarted wii and used backup launcher channel with success in launching said backup. installing wanikoko sort of just crashed/hanged on me, then i tried it again and it just rebooted--i dont know if anything was installed successfully.
i dont know if the darkcorp failed to install or something. but there are some specific things in your guide that are missing; like how to get to certain menu options that i had to find out by myself and test (for example, pressing B--back, back, THEN click on APPS, then priiloader...). another thing missing from the instructions is how to EXACTLY install darkcorp "via ios249", where do i go for this ios249? then instead of saying "use the wii nunchuck for indiana pwns...then DO NOT USE NUNCHUCK" it would probably be clearer to say "now remove nunchuck". then after the "wad install step", you didnt say where to find the priiloader installation. sorry, just trying to make your already awesome guide more idiot-proof (and from your experience there are A LOT of idiots around).
i also didnt find the "autoboot to HBC" and "autoboot to USBloader" stuff.
i also tried the WiiMC install and it ended up with "system files are corrupt..." screen. i just restarted wii and everything was fine.
lastly, the "cleanup sdcard" step: i looked at the files and it removes many stuff like the wiiMC. does this mean that wiiMC has to be put in this "cleanup sdcard" filesystem or is it installed in wii memory?
the homebrew browser rocks by the way, its sort of like linux's apps fetchers. good job on the guide frog.
oh by the way, from now on, does my wii ALWAYS go into priiloader if my sdcard is inserted? i noticed only when i take it out that the wii boots into the regular wii menu.
