I've been searching the web since i have gotten my 3DS XL on firmware 7.1, and have found multiple sites like new3dscard.co.uk, teensy.co.uk etc...

But have come across the site above, and found out that they do have some in their UK warehouse and costs £42.

Has anyone used this site before and is it legit?

Also, when I receive the card will i be able to straight away install the loader .dat and play straight off, e.g. is my firmware suitable? as have read that I need to buy a game and update to 9.2 or something.

Thanks.

Just ordered a sky3ds from 3DSGamerworld last week, it showed up today and it is definitely a knockoff. I wouldn't advise buying from them.
is there even such a thing as a knockoff sky3ds, and what makes you think its a knockoff, i have only heard good things about 3dsgamerworld (well except the occasional missing in post story, but all sellers get those), flashcards are never fantastic quality, im just wondering what makes the card a knock off in your opinion? doesn't it work? is the labels wonky etc

If your shipping address is USA,We will send sky3ds from USA warehouse ,Not from Asia.

Just basing it on this thread - https://gbatemp.net/review/sky3ds-rev-2-blue-button.250/
Mine is a blank cartridge that came in a plastic DS case. I'll see if I can post pictures when I get off work tonight.

2767, just got a reply -
Dear customer
It is a real sky3ds,Cause of sky3ds cards are illegal products,we can send orginal package.
sorry for the inconvenience.

If that is the case it may be real and they just stripped the packaging and sticker. I didn't get a chance to try it yet, again, I'll take another look once I get off work.

yeah tbh i have heard many resellers posting them out with no stickers etc, idk maybe its to avoid problems during postage, but the genuineness of the card is not in its sticker :P

I also ordered a Gateway from them, but I don't really know how to confirm authenticity. It's currently sitting in my desk.

OK, that makes me feel better then. I know I ordered several dstwo cards and all of them came in original packaging, so it just took me off guard. Unfortunately my go to site, realhotstuff, seems to have gone belly up, so I had to try a new site.

Added pics to my first post

if you've ordered already, here's the Gateway I ordered from 3DSGamerWorld. I guess it looks legit?

Kinda glad to see yours came in a clear card case as well, makes me feel much better about mine. I think the thing that spooked me was that it had no label. Been using it for the last hour or so without any problems, so I guess there's nothing to worry about.

yeah i think some sites put them in those hard cases for shipping as
A) its smaller/cheaper to post
B) they are better protected than cardboard boxes or blister packs
C) well the user gets a nice reusable case for carts

i can understand why some people are thrown by it though.....but imho you should of had the stickers included, did you check inside the packaging as sometimes they are just thrown in the packet for the user to apply themselves

Yeah, checked all over, no sticker. But that's all good. As long as it is a legit card I could care less how it looks :P Thanks for the help checking it out by the way.

Seems like kind of a fishy move if you ask me, for any reseller. When I order a product I see no good reason for it to have major discrepancies from the pictures. Just me though...

My two cents: I ordered a sky3ds from them a week ago, received it this weekend. Looked just like the photos posted here: Clear/blank case, blank/no-decal cart. It worked once, but then stopped working. I've verified with several brand-new, supported SD cards, and I'm 99% certain this thing is now dead as a doornail. I sent them an email inquiring about a replacement. Here's hoping I'm not effed in the ay.

sonic0967: Did you test yours out yet?

Yeah, I ordered one and before I did they had said they had stock in the Uk warehouse.

Turns out today 3 days later, they have cancelled my order because they have no stock.

I'm waiting on a refund now.

You should check the contacts, if the middle one is shorter than the rest, it's a fake. Interesting how the Gateways from 3dsgamerworld have stickers, but the Sky3ds' don't. Yeah. Seems really fishy. I was considering going with these guys for my Sky, but these consistent label-less Sky's while the Gateways have labels, seems to discredit what they say about having to ship them without labels due to legality.

The contacts? Well, if your description is right, then I just might have a fake on my hands... http://imgur.com/a/rJt6L Care to verify?

For me, it looks like the middleish one is longer than the rest, but I'm not sure which part of it exactly is the "contact"... or is it inside the card?

Just compared it to this post, so I think i'm clear!
