Gaming 3DS update coming June 6th

I actually thought the update would come tomorrow morning. So they can fuck up the hackers on Friday the 13th and mess with their heads.

Damnit.
I just thought yesterday that I wanted it at least 2 weeks before e3 and now they go and release it the night before e3.

Devin @ today It'd be pretty sweet if they added a streaming channel so we could watch E3 Live, from our 3DS'.
There must be something they want to keep secret about the wii2 in the update, or as above.
I don't get why they couldn't just control the release date of those features or delay the deployment of a "e3 channel" until when they wanted though.
I want a buggy browser now, not a halfway decent one in June!

If it wasn't for this update, they wouldn't have anything to show at E3 when it comes to 3DS. Now they can at least say "yeah, we've released this semi-finished, screen-scratching, expensive handheld with maybe 2-3 decent games (all ports) and graphics comparable to 6-years old PSP, but now you can at least browse internet and buy some more ported classics in our eShop !"

The problem is they have 40 games to show for 3ds.
I think you mean that they have very few titles out there to buy yet.

Oh Nintendo why, it was hard waiting for late MAY but early June is even worse.
I hope it has something to do with the E3 else I'm going to be disappointed.

I know its only one week more but still. . .

If you cannot buy a game, it does not exist.
PS. What do you mean "they have 40 games to show". Are they going to announce brand new, previously unknown 3DS games at E3 ?

They announced them last year and throughout the year some more third parties announced some more.

I'm just pissed the 3DS was released basically unfinished. Wouldn't it have been better to release it when the majority of outstanding features were ready. Day one should have had the browser and shop. We could have waited for the other stuff like the DSi transfer app. And now the update is getting pushed back.

I hope the update make the thing turn on faster.

Well then you shouldn't have pushed them to release it early last year.

Releasing things unfinished seems to be a trending model of Nintendo's online content.
I mean the pokémon dream world didn't launch until quite some time after the games themselves, in both japan and the rest of the world.
On top of that. we still don't have our Eeveelutions or Munna C-gear skin, what's up with that?
The promotions are practically finished, everyone has the code ready from either magazine or word of mouth, and the eeveelution game is done over a week ago.

Well the Earthquake was partly at fault. (No pun intended)

Holy smokes, I just realized something...

The 3DS' upcoming browser, Netfront, is said to support Java. If this is true, then I should be able to play Minecraft on its homepage. O_o

Edit: Or at least load the game - actually playing it could be problematic, due to the lack of a keyboard.

nintendo should have said TBA way b4 they release 3ds that way i think we wouldnt be so mad at them for delaying updates

So.. a big update next month. More cool features, less usable flashcarts I think.
Edit;

I think Nintendo is going to use a smaller version of Netfront, but it could be possible. Don't be too exited about it...

You know very well that 3DS at it fineness out beat the psp graphics. I can wait a little longer for the good not rushed buggy stuff to come with it while enjoying
my 3DS now. Not putting to much pressure on my fair price device.

I don't understand the people who bought the 3DS and complaining about the lack of features. Nintendo clearly stated that it wont have all the features from the start and people still complain about it? And even then, you would have known by searching some stuff for about the 3DS on the web.

People seriously need to research before buying stuff.

PS - Not directly targeted at you but the complainers.
