they need to give us some games for free, because they delayed the eshop so much.
i agree with you but i doubt it would happen

Aren't we getting Excitebike or something? I seem to recall that in a news post on here. Maybe I'm just losing it. Nonetheless, nothing special there.

Megaman Legends isn't just a demo, it's a prologue for the actual game, featuring content and missions which won't be on the final game. It's worthy buying even if you plan on buying the game afterwards, as it will complete the package.

Paying for this Prototype Version will also help on its way to being greenlit.

"the heat and excitement surrounding this downloadable title would determine whether or not the full game could be greenlit. If hype is strong, the full title will be a go. If not, it’s a no-go. I don’t even want to think about that outcome!"

lookin forward to the free excitebike on first startup.

Don't get too excite(bike)d, as the announcement was in Japan only and Nintendo do like to treat Japan better than us!

I'd love it if it were true, but they have already localised content with the 3D video they clogged us up with last update (US get OK Go, Eur gets random footage), so US and European users will probably get some hastily re-jigged I-phone app instead.

Be pessimistic about this, and you won't go disappointed................

Heard about that. But I hope they have the DECENCY to let us have SOMETHING free for waiting so long for it to come out.

I agree with you there, anything will do- I guess they chose Excitebike as Mario and Zelda still have fans, and EB is a fondly remembered game to those of us old enough to have had it as a youth. Possible franchise reboot klaxon!

ahhh.... the days of old playing this on my original game-boy. luckily back then that machine was sturdy that when i used to get pissed off with the ;little prick on the bike, if I threw the game-boy at the ground/wall/dog it wouldn't break..... Somehow I don't think the 3DS will be quite as tough......

You must be talking about Motocross Maniacs, if you're talking about the original Gameboy. It was very similar to Excitebike, but was made by Konami. Only the GBA saw a version of Excitebike, released as part of the classic NES series.

As for getting Excitebike free with the update, I'll just have to wait and see. Nintendo might choose a different game (or video, app, etc.), since it won't be much of a surprise if they give us Excitebike. I just want the eShop, browser, and stability fixes, so anything else is just bonus.

eShop... What the people expect:
An appstore like shop with tons of both paid and free apps

What the people will actually get:
A DsiWare Bis, with overpriced apps and only 2-3 free apps that should actually been included in the system in the first place.

Couldn't agree more.
Plus, I bet VirtualConsole games will cost > 20 EUR each.

Yup.
Never heard of the browser on a computer system though.Hopefully the 3DS one would be (atleast a little) close to the computer version.

I keep getting mix info, we do get netflix on this next update right?
Not quite, netflix was to be released this summer after the original late may update. It might be released since now the release date of this update is technically in summer but i wouldnt count on it. I think nintendo will just release browser and eshop and see that no huge bugs are present then make netflix avaiable in a later date. Hell if its released on june 6th it would be worth the delay.
