Yeah, in south america we are pretty fucked with this hobby.
Now we have a restriction to only import 2 packages for year, so no more physical games for me.
Thats another reason why i need to recover this 3DS, all my digital purchases are there.....

Raspi is far much better, you can use it as a small pc after you unbrick and the arduino will only collect dust... so get a raspi instead

Too late for me.
Had hopes for the Arduino.
I guess I´ll just have to find someone here with a Rasp.
Anyway I would like to thank Krisztian, Ryuga, Coto and Bkifft for your dedication and hard work.
You are awesome guys!

I am still trying to find the problem with the arduino, got someone who can test a IC based voltage divider and maybe I can find the problem then.

You should try to use SD cards that are made in Japan, I bet you will have better results.

Yeah!
Dont give up!
I think you are so close to figure this out, it´s a petty to stop now!

With nothing in arduino gave everything 255.
With fake SD in arduino and 3ds on all gave 255.
With fake SD in arduino and 3ds off all gave 0.

Hello,

I have a RCM6700 proc board from rabbit.
I change all code i found and made it work for this board.
Now i can lock/unlock a sd card with a password and can erase a locked sd card.
All working on differents sd cards.

I'm try the same on a bricked 3ds XL and it's not working.
I connected all 5 wired.
The first CMD0 (send CMD0 - go to idle state) is not working.

i checked the voltage on a hi output from clk.
On sdcard it's 3.3 V but when i connect the 3ds it's only 2.3 V.
So i think i need some pull up resistors.

Ok, here it goes the stupidest question yet!
Would it be possible to emulate a Raspberry( like QEMU) to run bkifft code from a pc?

Measure the voltage at fake SD with 3DS on.

DAT3 = 3.27v
CMD= 3.29v
CLK= 0v
DAT0 = 3.27v

I guess it would be suicidal to connect the shield to the 5v pinout of the Arduino but keep the swith on the shiled at 3.3v right?

I have the same shield as Asus,the shield has both 5v and 3.3v pin,have been connecting to the 5v pin since the start until now without any problem.But if you have a different shield,3.3v is more safe

50k to 100k pull up is recommended,to prevent possible floating,or using logic level converter

That's also the reason that restordeviders w'ont work.
The current is to high which pulls the voltage down.

So i guess it's better to use a buffer/logic level shifter for a stable in/ouput
