And the epic wait begins! Or has already begun a while back! Kinda like Hedgeberg and waiting for him to dump the arm9 bootrom. The answer is simple, time. Just wait it out and it will be released/more flashcards compatible. Bugging SciresM or Normatt will probably make them work slower purposely as a response. And we don't want that, right? :D

Well, there has been no updates since the PoC was uploaded, save for that the n2ds works

That's just hearsay unless they provided video of it in action. We know it works, but NOTHING is confirmed other than that you need a magnet or a sleep switch and a hacked flashcard.

Not confirmed by Normmatt. That wasn't Normmatt. That was Michael.

Yeah, not like he was the guy who made the PoC video or anything.

It's possible for a magnet to be not strong enough, but such magnets are pretty rare. Some soft, bendable vinyl magnets might fall into this category.
Your average fridge magnet should work.

Well, I can definitely say that a magnetic implant (in the palm of my hand, done by Sampaa) is strong enough to trigger sleep mode if you get the right spot but there is no way it would be possible to hold down the buttons and trigger sleep mode that way. But I agree, pretty much any magnet should work.

I had one of those bendy magnet not work while another bendy magnet worked fine. Also had a small fridge magnet not work while others all worked. It's easy enough thing to just try yourself.

You can get prepared now. Turn your 3DS on to the Home Menu, then place the magnet on top of the B button. If the magnet is in the correct position and is strong enough, the system will think that you closed it, and go into sleep mode. That's all you need for ntrboothax.

On an Old 2DS, you don't need a magnet at all. The sleep switch at the bottom of the system is what you need, rather than a magnet.

Already tried a couple of fridge magnets and some of those that are not strong enough doesnt trigger the sleep mode. Those "some" are the thin ones.

Where is the magnet spot on the O3DS? My console has been NAND bricked for years and I want to boot a nds game on it before the software is released. Just seeing it work after nearly four years would be awesome.

Put your finger behind the right speaker. Now close the lid and your finger should point right at the magnet sensor.
