Hey guys I'm on N3DS running RxTools using ctrbootmanager on Sysnand 9.2.0-20U & RX-emunand 11.1.0-34U. I want to update to A9LH and Luma CFW. What's the easiest and best method? Also a side note, I've been playing Pokemon Moon cia and was wondering if there was a method to transfer my digital save to a physical cartridge on release? Thanks!

The Plailect guide is the most trustworthy one in existence. Nothing else even comes close. YouTube guides are out of date. Do what the guide says, but I hope you started from the beginning, not from the section you linked to? Https://plailect.github.io/Guide/get-started

thanks for your reply. I found out how to select it. Just doing the button combination on the screen. Sometimes reading is hard :P

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

After you put the code(button one), it will let you select the 2.1.0 CTR Transfer :)
thanks, that was indeed what I had to do. I found it out myself, but many thanks for your reply.!!

I have read that oot3dhax installer (and stickerhax installer) can not run on 11.0+ FW (some PASLR issue). Does it apply to CFW systems as well, or only stock FW? I have FW11.2 A9LH+Luma3DS, can I run oot3dhax installer or not?

No, you can install it with CFW since Luma has its own loader, evading the PASLR issue.

So I'm struggling. Earlier today I decided to do the A9LH, upgrading from menuhax. Everything's worked out great, all I need to do now is install a clean AGB_FIRM since the one I have is patched (and hence I can't play GBA games on Luma). But, using 3DNUS, I'm unable to download AGB_FIRM in cia format. It'll download on the old, unsupported version of 3DNUS, but then I get an "Unhandled Exception" crash on the app when it tries to pack it as a .cia. Is there any other method to getting a clean AGB_FIRM?

Just dumped my Animal Crossing New Leaf again.
I was wondering, could I install the cia 2 times?
Is there a way of installing the same game/cia twice?

I need it for hacking and editing purposes

Changing a title ID in a CIA might be possible, but afaik, there were issues when that was attempted.

Hey everyone. Sorry but I've been out of the "scene" for quite some time. I haven't used my 3DS much in the last year or two. When I found out there was a version of Pokemon Sun floating around out there I thought I'd dust it off and give it a try. To boot into Gateway mode I use a copy of Cubic Ninja, I do the QR code trick and then the Gateway menu comes up. I then switch out the Cubic Ninja cart, put in the Gateway card and "boot Gateway mode".

Is this still the latest and greatest way to do things? It has worked fine for me so far but I haven't tried any new games in a long time. I have always loaded via cia files.

Any assistance is appreciated!

Console: New Nintendo 3DS XL
Console firmware: 9.0.0-20U
Gateway version (according to the Gateway loading menu): 3.2.1

You may want to install a9lh. Gateway is kind of outdated now :-) except for their good cheat engine. Http://plailect.github.io/Guide

Thanks for the reply but sorry what is that? Custom firmware? I saw something about Luma as well, is that the same? Will I lose all my current games, settings and save files?

I'm assuming there are guides somewhere I should be using?

Sucks I spent $100 for nothing (the cost of Gateway + Cubic Ninja) but such is progress I suppose!

Here is a guide I found, is this a good one to use?

EmuNAND is outdated now :-) We used to need it because hax could only be launched below certain firmwares, but you also wanted to be able to play new release games, so you needed an emuNAND. Now, a9lh works on every firmware (it operates before the home menu even starts up) so no need for emuNAND. People still use it if they want to have effectively two systems on the one console e.g. For one to be a different region or to have 300 games installed on each.

Did you just say EmuNAND is outdated?! I'm super behind then! Wow. Ever since I graduated from college and got a job..I've been out of the loop--just been buying games lately. :(

A9LH, this sounds somewhat familiar. I didn't know that this loads up before the home menu even starts though. I have an O3DS that's still on 4.5 and runs Gateway3DS (I noticed their site is down too..has it really been so long that they don't exist anymore???) but I also have a N3DSXL that's on 11.1.0-34U (am I still able to install A9LH or do I have to downgrade?).

I also have a PowerSaves and my own private header if this helps somehow. Although at this point I just want to play Pokemon S/M lol.

So I discovered that I can't get 3DNUS to work possibly because the website it gathers title ID's from is completely down. I'm still not sure how to proceed...
