I'm running A9HL with AuReiNand, the version right before it changed to Luma.
Is there anything I need to do before changing to Luma, or is it a direct update like before?
Second, my SysNAND is on 10.7. I don't have an emuNAND running at all. I heard Nintendo made it so you couldn't downgrade from 11.0 at all. Is this just referring to the memchunkhax or does this apply to A9HL users as well?
And finally, if the above applies to me too, would it be wise for me to go ahead and create an emuNAND just in case I ever did need to downgrade back to 9.2 for whatever reason? I do like to be on the latest version for online and eShop.

When I first did the A9HL process, I was on 9.0 with my N3DS.
1- Here you have the steps.
2- I think the sysupdater will fail if you try downgrading while you have a9lh installed, so you would need to use decrypt9 to inject a pre-a9lh in your sysnand and then downgrade (you don't need to downgrade if the nand you'll inject is already on 9.2). Also, luma3ds has a custom loader that let you downgrade an emunand from 11.0 just placing firmware.bin (the one in the Plailect's guide) into the luma folder.
3- You can if you want, but right now you can update to 11.0 without any problem (I think that luma3ds has firm protection by default) and if for some reason you don't like it, you can reinject your previous nand dump using decrypt9 or hourglass9

My problem isn't about the CFW, but with a game (Fire Emblem Fates). Thing is I played other games before FEF and everything worked, but now I get this "an error has occurred" at the same point at the start of the campaign (Chapter 1 for those who know what I'm talking about)
I tried many things, changing from RxTools to Luma, changing SD cards, changing .cia, running it in different versions, different CIA regions (USA Pokemon X worked on my EUR O3DS)... I still can't grasp the reason as to why I have this error
My setup: EUR O3DS with A9lh, Luma 3DS latest build, CFW SysNAND 11.0.0-33...
Also tell me if I should post this anywhere else, but I thought it should be here, forgive me if I'm wrong

Try launching the homebrew launcher and launching your CIA through HANs. Was the only thing that would work when I had a few stubborn games not launch period. I know you can get your game to launch but not sure what else to suggest.

If what @gameus doesn't work, you maybe will need to use NTR with some language plugin.
If your FE and your 3ds' region matches, then I don't know what could be the problem

Well yeah even when Pokemon X USA version worked on my EUR O3DS, that's why I found it strange
Will keep trying with @gameus's solution, but I think I'll try NTR later

Hey all! I'm looking for some advice. I have an o3Ds' (version 10.5 running menuhax and ninjhax) with a ton of paid games from the e-shop. I want to transfer all of my saves and games to a 6.3 o3ds running gateway emunand 11.0, but I'm not sure what the best way to go about that is. From what I've read so far my best options are,
A: Call Nintendo and have them transfer the nnid to the 6.3's sysnand, redownload games, and (hopefully) find a way to copy the saves from the cia's
or
B: Update the 10.5 to 11.0 and then system transfer to the gateway emunand.
What would work best? are there better options avalible?
My main worry is that if something ever happens to my emunand I will lose my nnid.

no it does work if it's 9.0.0-20U. if it was lower it might not work. the lowest that might work is 16.
also don't worry about updating to 9.2.0-20, 9.0 is basically identical.

Also, what would be my next step for cfw. I'd like to have something less permanent than a9lh at the moment, I'll probably do that a later time. I do have a DS cart, should I downgrade to 4.x to use mset? Or stick with menuhax. I've been using rxtools for a while now and I'm comfortable with it (yes I know it's outdated and everything but it does what I need)
no, don't downgrade to 4.x ever, use menuhax. also are you sure it's on "9.0.0-20"? what is it exactly?
the best place to start is https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/Part-1-(Homebrew) but stop at the end of part 3 if you really don't want arm9loaderhax.
also please do not use rxTools (at least when setting up a new console), it's not going to work in the future when Nintendo releases 11.1 and most likely updates a few things, so best to use something else now.

2=If I downgrade my console sysnand 6.0 to 4.1 will it effect my 3ds? will it replace the orginal sysnand to a clone one. I mean like windows has key. So that everyone can have there own window does 3ds has a i.d key will downgrade effect it & place the already used one sysnand? Sorry for bad explanation. I hope you can understand what im saying.

it doesn't work like this, it just installs older versions of system titles (if I understood what you're saying).
