Unfortunately, unless you have a backup of the NAND the saves were created with, I don't think there's a way to recover your saves.
I've no backup of the NAND ... Thanks for the answer anyway.

Yes, it is possible to dump games and install them as cias. You can use the Gateway Launcher to dump your games, then convert them to cias.
There are multiple ways to convert roms to cias, but the way I like to do it is to generate all of the XORpads with Decrypt9, then use Riku's Simple CIA Converter to convert them to cias.
Hey Guys!
I'm a bit of an older member from here and I've pulled out my 3DS recently and was wondering what my options are?
Its an old 3DS, sat on 4.1.0-8E. I'm hoping this is late enough firmware to work with something, or there is a good way to get upto a firmware that is?
I'm just wondering about my options as to homebrew, emulators, playing backup games?
I've got an Acekard 2i as well, which runs fine, but no flashcard capable of 3DS mode.
I've tried looking through, but its a bit daunting and I'm confused where I should start, or what is viable?
I was hoping for some big old tutorial thread to be stickied or something, but I only saw this thread that seemed like it would be helpful to me!
I guess what I want to do is both have backups/homebrew/emu and some form of emulated firmware to play some of the newer games I've missed out on and want to buy.
Cheers for the help, and what I think is my first post here in like 3 years.
So now that I have CFW setup is there a reason to keep the gateway card? I was thinking of giving it to a relative but if theres a compelling reason to keep it...
Also what are the boot rates like on a standard Menuhax Rxtools setup?
You can downgrade the 9.7 one by installing browserhax and then menuhax(Iirc, the browser nag appears from FW 9.9 onwards), and then downgrade using sysUpdater. As for the 10.5 one, your only option to downgrade is hard modding/wait for a new method of downgrading :/I've been scouring and trying things out the last couple hours, and I think I have come to the conclusion that I'm screwed. I am trying to access homebrew and downgrade to 9.2, and I have 2 Old 3dses. One on 9.7, and one on 10.5
I dont have youtube downloaded, and I cant access eshop without updating
Is there something Im missing? Or am I screwed?
You should be able to run homebrew with both of them and "downgrade easily" just one.I've been scouring and trying things out the last couple hours, and I think I have come to the conclusion that I'm screwed. NANDs are console unique, you cannot use a backup of your sysNAND/emuNAND on another 3ds :/Hello,
Today I updated my 2DS sysNAND from 9.2 to 10.6 because I wasn't paying attention and thought it was emunand. I have another o3DSxl which is my brothers and is on 9.2, we both have rxTools emunands. I tried to put my 2ds SD card into his and start rx tools but I just got a black screen. I have sysnand backups of both consoles. How can I use my emuNAND on his system while still allowing him to use his from his SD card.
Thanks.
What if I restored the NAND backup from my 2DS to the xl, to use my emuNAND, the restored the original, or does that just result in a bricked system?NANDs are console unique, you cannot use a backup of your sysNAND/emuNAND on another 3ds :/
100% bricking chanceWhat if I restored the NAND backup from my 2DS to the xl, to use my emuNAND, the restored the original, or does that just result in a bricked system?
OK, thanks for telling me. I'll just use my physical carts and wait it out.100% bricking chance
It will brick your emuNAND -_- It just won't work. Period. What if I restored the NAND backup from my 2DS to the xl, to use my emuNAND, the restored the original, or does that just result in a bricked system?
