whats the likely hood of the 2ds not having a browser installed?

There's not enough reports to get an approximate number, but most seem to have the browser installed. If you do happen to be one of the unlucky ones who gets one without the browser I would just return it and try to find another one that does have the browser.

The built-in Virtual Console made by Nintendo. You can find the GBA games in cia format and you can install them in the console. Then you run a CFW (rxTools for example) and play them. I think you need to patch a system file first but can't remember the name.

Hi,

I got a N3DS with 9.0. I got a gateway card, and I'm running the emunand with no problem.
I've read the warning in many places to not update emunand through the system menu, as it will update past the max version supported.

Is there a way to update emunand to 9.7 instead of latest, and would I be able to get into the eshop if I did?
If not, is there any other benefit of updating the emunand?
And finally, I've read that the gateway software has some software version spoofing capabilities. Any guide out there? Can it spoof the version and get into the shop even if the emunand is not in the latest version?

You can install Ninjhax 2.0 and play some homebrew and emulators, the gateway card is useless for you.

So I was stupid and put Curtain Call on my gateway without making it online ready because I completely forgot and I already played a good deal of it.
If I were to change the rom to make it online ready or replace it with another online ready rom would my save file be deleted?

It wouldn't be deletes, it would just not be compatible... Changind the header = a different game.

Hi guys, ive got a problem i was updating my emunand through devmenu, then suddenly i fell asleep when i wake up my 3ds is off. When i opened my 3ds it stays on black screen and the blue led light is on. Have i bricked my device or something?

1. is there a way access rxtools without the use of the internet because i cant bring my 3ds elsewhere if thats the case.

2. ive got the smash bros running smoothly but its asking me to update it, is it ok to update it using the rxtools emunand?

3. will it affect my online play if i update it using the rxtool emunand?

1. Yes. You have two choices. Use the Gateway launcher and downgrade pack for your region and downgrade your console to 4.X. After that, use the MSET exploit. Or use this version of rxTools and downgrade your 3DS's MSET. If you choose to do the latter, you will need to delete the rxTools folder and rxTools.dat from your SD card and drag the rxTools folder from the download to your SD card. Generate the firmware.bin file and place it in the rxTools/sys folder on your SD card. Even though you're above 6.X, you'll still need the slot0x25KeyX.bin file on the root of your SD card otherwise the rxTools installation will fail. You will need to use this link to launch rxTools: https://dukesrg.github.io/?rxTools/sys/code.bin. Use msetdg.bat to download the MSET downgrade file for your region and install it using the advanced options menu on rxTools. Go to the mset folder of the downloaded rxTools and place rxinstaller.bin on the root of your SD card. Go to http://dukesrg.github.io/?rxinstaller.bin on your 3DS's web browser and wait for about a minute. If it doesn't crash after a minute press the Home button to try and make it crash. After that, go to the DS profile settings and you should be able to launch rxTools through that.

The 2DS got a pricedrop from $130 to $100 on August 30th so it's likely they're all going to be brand new updated shipments.

I believe the 2DS (and both variants of the O3DS) were discontinued. The 2DS was likely not selling as well as the other 3DS consoles so the price drop was a way to get rid of the leftover stock. I've not heard any reports of a 2DS being above 9.2 out of the box.

If you're on an O3DS you can update to the latest emuNAND without issue. If you're on an N3DS the highest you can update your emuNAND to is 9.5.0-23.

Bumping this as is related to the last messages...... how do you update the emunand to 9.5.0-23? Are there any benefits?
Can you use the eshop? And how does the version spoofing work in gateway?
