Well, this method of generating the files has failed, just like the other combinations I've tried. I generated ncchinfo.bin with the ncchinfo_gen.py script from the newest version of Decrypt9, copied it and my slot0x25KeyX.bin file to the root of the mSD. Then I copied the Decrypt9 folder containing the Decrypt9.3dsx and Decrypt9.smdh files to [root]\3ds\Decrypt9 and the Launcher.dat and Decrypt9.bin files to the root of the mSD. I ran Decrypt9 via Ninjhax 1.1b and it failed to generate the files. The two primary errors would seem to be "Could not open seeddb.bin!" and "Too many/few entries in ncchinfo.bin".
You can ignore the seeddb.bin error, it's normal. Which game are you trying to convert to a cia?

Star Fox 64 3D and Ocarina of Time 3D. Haven't dumped any of my other cartridges yet, but Heroes of Ruin and Majora's Mask are next on my list if I get these two working.
I just tried the Launcher.dat version of Decrypt9 with Star Fox and it generated the xorpads without any issues. Have you tried using the Launcher version instead of the Ninjhax version?

Question: I have a Old 3DS with 9.2.0.20U on it. I'm trying to access the eShop to download the YouTube app to mess around with but I'm having some issues with firmware spoofing. I tried an older method I found involving a code.bin file and going to the loadcode sub-domain on project pokemon but even after executing the code when I access the eShop it either tell me to update or it will give me error code 022-2634.

Does this method no longer work, or is there something else I should be doing?

I would use Free Multi Patcher. It'll allow you to spoof and access the eShop.

That would be with the MSET DS Profile hack, right?
I believe it has to be launched via web browser. Use one of the available Gateway web-launchers to run it (http://go.gateway-3ds.com/, http://bobdoleowndu.github.io/3ds/go.html or http://dukesrg.no-ip.org/3ds/go2.html).

I thought the web browser exploits couldn't be used on a New 3DS?
Whoops, I didn't realize you were using an N3DS. I believe the Ninjhax method is the only one available on the N3DS.

The only other think I think you could try is regenerating the ncchinfo.bin file and trying again. If it's still not working after that, let me know.

Sorry, probably should have been a little clearer on that. That one's on me :P . I guess I'll PM you if it doesn't work, so I stop clogging up the thread XD

Do all flashcards require some kind of software hack to work? Or are there any cards that can be used without altering the device in any way by now?
I had a flashcard for DS that worked without any modification, is this possible for 3DS yet?

Yes, you can do a system transfer from a 9.9 sysNAND 3DS to a 9.9 emuNAND 3DS.

The Sky3DS kinda works like a DS flashcart. You do not need to launch any exploit to run it. Unlike a DS flashcart, there is no rom menu; instead there is a button on the cart that cycles between games. It also does not support homebrew or modified roms; it strictly plays unmodified games and that's it. Also, fairly recently, Nintendo added a new anti-piracy check into their new games that stops the Sky3DS from running them. If you only want to play games that have already been released, then the Sky3DS will work fine. If you want to play games that have not been released yet, then a Sky3DS will not work.

What's the best way to install .cia files wirelessly?

Having to unscrew the back of 3DS is starting to get troublesome.

Hi all,
Ive a 3DS XL on v9.2e firmware. I dont have a flashcard. I'd like to install CFW to play games. Is it possible to install CFW on my system without a flashcard? Do I have to downgrade my firmware to v4.xx in order to run the browser exploit? Also, which is the best CFW to install? Can you please direct me to an easy to follow, complete tutorial that works? as Ive read that some of the browser exploits dont work anymore (not sure how true that is). Thanks a million for reading and any help is hugely appreciated. Cheers hankarlo.

Is it a new 3DS or Old 3DS? For old 3ds people use Rxtools, for new 3DS people use Reinand. Theres a really good reinand tutorial by Username taken called from Scratch to Reinand. You don't need any Flashcard but you need a copy of Cubic Ninja

I have a New 3DS XL on 9.2 with 9.5 Emunand and the Gateway 3.4 Launcher.

Trying to start Picross e6 I just get the 3DS startup logo screen and the game wont' start. Could this be because it requires a higher firmware version than 9.5?

No most games are firmware spoofed to run on much lower firmware.

Either the CIA wasn't converted right (Try Simple CIA converter) or it is a different region and didn't have it's
region lock removed (Simple CIA converter fixes this too) OR it needs a specific language to run, try NTR with
language Emulation.

Sorry, I should have specified. I'm using a .3ds file. Tried re-copying and verifying the MD5 sum vs. the download and they match, so I don't think it's corrupted.

I did look into converting it to a CIA, but from what I could tell I'd need an Original 3DS on 4.5 to get the Xorpads, is that right?

Thanks
