If you want to play backups, Sky3DS is your only way, unfortunately.

Thanks, even though I just got it, maybe it's time to just sell it off with my Sky3ds+ and find one under 11.4... I got it for a fair deal but, there are others out there on lower firmwares (trying to get a Red *NEW* 3DS XL)
Well, on the Homebrew launcher... emulators and stuff is possable ?

I was trying to install A9LH + Luma CFW on my new 3ds(us region), I was following this guide: instead of downgrading to 2.1.0 I downgraded to 9.2.0, what should I do? I can't use soundhax to access the homebrew lancher.
First rule of thumb: never follow video guides. The only guide you should follow is http://3ds.guide.
my 3ds keeps freezing when i try to use 2xra no matter how many times i try or delete the save data I don't want my 3ds to be stuck in 2.10 but i can't get it out of it

check you have all 7 files inside /a9lh/ and also that you have arm11.bin and arm9.bin on root
Ultra noob question here, I just hacked my 3ds yesterday then upgraded to 11.4. I just intalled BootNTR 3.4, it says firmversion: 00000000, param is missing: ntrConfig->PMSvcRunAdd, unknown FIRM, access-checks could not be patched, open ntr.bin failed, bnBootNTR failed. This is my first time running it. I wanted to patch a game. Thanks.
I have arm9loaderhax.bin but not arm11.bin but I did download arm11.bin I've turned my 3ds off and gone out so I'll do that stuff when I get home
Before I begin, I apologise if this isn't the right place to post this. Anyway, I am currently running an N3DS on firmware 11.3 and have been recording videos of online friend matches using NTR Streaming. But just recently, Nintendo have forced everyone to be on the latest firmware (11.4) to play online. From what I can see, the latest firmware update broke NTR Streaming. So what I am looking for is a way to stay on 11.3 and still be able to stream online matches. I know ctr-httpwn allows you to bypass these forced update requirements but I am not currently able to get both ctr-httpwn and NTR to boot. If I boot ctr-httpwn first, NTR fails to load and my system then reboots. If I load NTR first, the system crashes when I attempt to exit back to the home menu after running ctr-httpwn.
So my question is this: Is there a way I can get both ctr-httpwn and NTR to run together? And if not, is there another way to bypass forced update blocks while still being able to run NTR? If you need any more information, feel free to ask. (:

Hi, is there a way to put a folder inside of a folder in the homemenu with Luma? Sorry, if this is the wrong place to ask and if I made any mistakes, I'm not English.

Will anything bad happen if I set my Favorite Title in the Friend's List to a non-legit title such as the Homebrew Launcher?

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.
The issue is DRM -

You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60
