also there isnt much to know, plays roms on all FW's, some newer games have antipiracy and are unplayable on sky3DS.....that just about sums it up

i have r4 sdhc (2016) dual core, can play NDS games only.
here's my question:
Can i use my r4 cart to launch any ".dat" files in my SD card? like how browserhax works?

No. DS flashcards can only do DS-related things. An entrypoint like browserhax is required to launch .dat files.

Hello probably stupid question but I accidently got a Gateway clone called 3dsLink and seeing how it looks like the support for it is dead along with the reports that gateway clones causing bricks . I was wondering if there's any hope for it other then throwing it out. can I use it in anyway? I believe it runs on the software used in another clone called R4i gold deluxe.

Just got a sky3ds+. Do I need a special program to put my backups onto the sd card, or can I just drag and drop? After that, is there anything I need to know to play the backups?

Going to sound stupid here but just got a 3ds xl and I found my old r4i #DS Revolution for DS card.. is there any guides to get this to work for the 3dsxl on firmware 10?

Or am I going to need a new card? Im not looking for 3ds game support but my DS / GBA stuff?

is this flashcart working on 3ds before? like on lower firmware? then..
if you are on firmware 10.3 and below, then you can downgrade it to 9.2 and setup emunand. from there you can install something called "ds_flashcart_whitelist" (not sure about the name though). then there, it (should) work.

Thanks no I updated to 10.5 but the DS portion of the card works fine on 10.5 so Im good. I ordered a Sky + for 3ds.

i'm confused about what to do. i just recently bought a sky3ds+ and i got it set up with animal crossing: happy home designer. i don't understand how to save the game. it doesn't let me save in-game or am i just doing something wrong? i have the latest firmware dl on my 3DS XL and i updated my sky3ds+ just in case.

my settings.txt file says this:

FIRMWARE_VERSION=112
DEFAULT_GAMESAVE_KEY=
HIGH_SPEED_ENABLED=0
ACTIVITY_LED_COLOR=000000
EEPROM_LED_COLOR=FF0000
SD_LED_COLOR=0000FF

do i do anything? it doesn't look like i'm where i left off though bc i heard saves were automatic?

also, is the allocation unit size/cluster file size for sandisk ultra microSD (class 10) 32gb supposed to be set to 32kb? it looked like it was already in fat32 when it came. you only have to format it if its 64kb to exFAT, right?

i dunno if this thread can withstand questions for a 3ds compatible nds flashcart

but my ques is I (well not actually me but it doesnt matter) bricked my r4 (R4i SDHC Dual-Core NEW) by wrongly putting the 2013(R4i SDHC Dual-Core NEW)kernel files on it and booting....
so can i still make a use out of it , or should i just throw it away?
also i only own a 3ds (not like its the only console , but the only one in the ds compatible series)

Am I doing something wrong?i even have flashcart timewarp cia installed and the anykernel cia (apache launcher) gives me an error

You shouldn't modify your firmware at all. Luma3ds cfw will add the necessary patches to get your flashcard working on ofw -- changing your system titles will likely throw off luma's ability to make these patches.

Try putting your system to sleep with the wifi on and you should get an update notice in a few moments. That should restore your twl firm.

Make sure you have luma3ds installed or you could remove your cfw by doing this.
