I guess those will come next: save game exploit -> Homebrew channel -> homebrew and emulators -> SD loader for 3ds roms.

I could care less about pirating games... just give me the ability to properly emulate NES, SNES, and GBA ROMs with decent performance and enough resolution, and I'll be happy.

WHERE MAI 3DS ROMS AT?
Yeah, I'm not buying another game until some piracy device comes out. This man he speaks the truth.

You are either trolling or are completely fucking retarded. I can't tell which honestly.

On-topic: Glad to see progress is being made showing that it IS possible, even if we may never see that progress.

Anyway, nothing in all this is interesting for us unless it is concret way to use homebrew or piracy. For now, it is nothing for us to play with, try or even hold our breathe for.

Pip'
I'm not personally involved in space shuttle launches, but they're still interesting to me...

Ppl wanting to pirate and have homebrew but having no interest in how it is done. This is what makes the ds scene so great. /sarcasm
That's one of the reasons why everyone is relying on one person to get it done. I applaud neimod's intelligence and a handful of ppl here that know enough to at least provide more detail in noob-speak for those of us who have the interest but lack the knowledge to do anything.
Thank you everyone, despite the ingrates, you still carry on. It's exciting to read about what's unfolding even if the common person can't get their haxors and romz yet.

All I'd really like is a way to disable the region lock. It's a first step.

The PSP says hi.

I'd love to see some N64 action myself, if the 3DS is powerful enough to emulate just some of the more popular N64 games I would totally buy another one. The rest I have a PSP for so it doesn't really bother me.

Wait,so can 3ds game now be downloaded and put onto the sd card and played?

In a word: no.
In three words: Of course not.

Actually, yes, they can. They just need Nintendo's approval (such as NSMB2).
If they get Nintendo's approval they can be bought, downloaded, put onto the sd card, and played. :creep:
A better term would be 'installed onto the SD Card'. We don't want to be confusing people, my making it sound more simpler than it is. :hateit:

True, but I'd like to move at least all my Nintendo handheld emulation to one machine. Not DS for this, PSP for that, smartphone for those. Having every Nintendo handheld generation on one machine with decent performance (like in the days of the GBA and GBA SP) would be amazing. Just like how you can have every Nintendo console generation on the Wii, minus the N64 (and even that's about halfway or more there).

That would be totally awesome, but I don't expect much from the N64 scene on the 3DS. How many N64 games run decently on the PSP, btw?

Yeah I get what you're saying.

N64 on the PSP runs pretty ok really, of course most games don't run at full speeds and don't run perfectly but most of them are generally playable. Mario Kart is pretty playable without sound though haha.

Hey, I might actually have to buy a 3DS soon :)

Great news, right on top of all the recent PS3 scene progress
