Hardware 3DS doesn't recognize SD card

Sorry for bringing this old thread back, but I have the same problem and I would like some help.

I have tried formatting the SD Card (tried a 2GB 'standard', a 16GB SDHC, and a 64GB SDXC) to FAT 32 (32K Cluster). Every time, the DS says it cannot recognize the card. It does not allow me to format it either. Is there any known solution to this? I have to point that it was working absolutely fine, until I decided to format the card on the PC.

You are absolutely right, but I do not know what the policy is. Other Forums prefer users to avoid creating new threads if a relevant thread already exists. Furthermore, it might help with those who find this thread via Google (as I did).

At any rate, I can confirm that the Panasonic SD Formatter (v5.0) tool worked perfectly. It appears that MiniTool Partition Manager does something iffy to the created partition/tables that causes the 3DS to not 'see' the card. This is despite setting everything correctly.
