Okay, guys, so I was wondering. You know how when you back up saves via svdt (or similar save manager) you need to select a target game? If I was to back up a save from, let's say, Pokemon Crystal or another custom virtual console game, could said save file be used in an emulator on PC/Mac/Linux and the like? I know of course that the corresponding ROM would be required, but is this possible, and if not, why? I don't see why it wouldn't be, so long as the emulator supports the save file, but I still would like to know. Thanks in advance!

okay! I'm doing some testing now. svdt seems to not want to restore the save, but it may be myself that is causing the error.
EDIT- seems I may need to generate xorpads, but i'm going to try another way first.
EDIT- seems not to be possible as of right now, (there may be a way I'm unaware of) ut with a little tinkering, it very well may be.
