3ds crashes whenever i try to run a DS game

So, whenever i try to play a ds game (From cartridge or a DsiWare game) the screen goes black, then flickers white and goes to sleep mode. I tried using TWL_Fix (and then updating the console) but it would still do the same thing, i read the troubleshooting section of the hacking guide and installed the cias but the same would happen again :/

Is there a solution for this problem? I have an old 3ds and ds games worked fine before modding it

I had the same problem with my sons 3ds xl not loading DS games but running 3ds no problem. I removed the back cover, battery and SD card. I then re-seated the cables from the top screen, wifi card, infra red card, re-assembled and this cured the problem.

Just a feeling: It might have been the camera not connected properly.

• WiFi board not inserted means nothing will work (turns on, black screens)
• No idea about the IR, but I guess it isn't vital and not needed for DS(i)
• Top screen not properly connected means either no picture or not turning on when backlight not connected (blue LED on, off, nothing but maybe a popping sound).
