Well, I've been looking at NoA's Press Room (yes, we're a press media), and they only have phone numbers, no email addresses, including the one of Reginald Fils-Aime (better known as Reggie).
There are 2 phone numbers for USA (one for English contact, one for 'Hispanics'), one for Australia, one for Canada, and one for Germany.
I'll not release the numbers, as they're sensitive information, but one person or 2 can have them, through PM.
So just PM me, and I'll share the number you want to dial.

Kan i haz le fone number for english reggie....

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Nintendo.

Regarding your mention of Akecard cards, we have had numerous actions against game copiers worldwide. They are illegal, as they circumvent Nintendo's security and violate the law. Therefore, I’m unable to answer any questions about it.

Sincerely,

Jennie Chuck
Nintendo of America

Very unhelpful...

i also contacted them: /sarcasm

Hello,

Thank you for contacting us.

Regarding your mention of bricking, I am sorry to say i am not aware of the term. However I do have a house made out of bricks.

Thank You,

I hate that man. IMO, NoA needs a new head.

We have 2 options, or they are being sarcastic, or they don't want to brick any console

I think they are making a new product.......the nitnendo 'house'............................................................................
.........I like it....

That's FCC stuff, so generally it's don't screw around with the wireless (using frequencies your not meant to etc)

edit: typo

ok when i try to change the date it says this may mess with the activity log...how bout if you used a flashcart and it shows in your log change the date to the day before you did such and it will erase the logs entirely thus removing said logging of flashcart afterwards reset your date to current and see if the logs re-appear

The console was made to be sold/transferred, if you go to page 88 in the operations manual, you'll see that after formatted the console returns to the factory-default state, the only thing that they keep is the updates. If a console is made to be sold, they would erase any flashcart record. Just think about this example, I used a flashcard and i sold my console, then the person who gets my console update it, and the 3ds brick. Nintendo can be sued by this because the person who bought the 3ds didn't use a flashcard.

yes but if i want to keep all the progress i made in my 3ds games and other stuff i can rewrite the log file by changing the date and still have all my 3ds info left intact such as play coins and friend list, i could reformat but i would have to do everything all over again

Sometimes it's good to know that bugs exists

im not sure.. but if reports of bricks start comming in after the update i guess i too will try reformat...
since ive heard of this news i have turned wireless off and have pretty much stopped playing the 3 titles i do own for 3ds in disgust over this rumor...not sure if it will really happen though as the flashcarts do not modify in any way the 3ds os, where a firmware update would corrupt the moddified FW resulting in a Brick. if they do brick my system i can tell you that they would be loosing out on more than 250$ in DLC i wont be buying.. even though i pirated games for use in my Dsi i also spent over 200+ dollars on dsi ware from the time of launch to when i traded it in for my 3ds, even though i had a acekard i played mostly the shovelware games.. the games i had on my Ak2i i barely played and definately would not have bought, so go ahead and brick my system but you wont ever get another cent from my wallet Nintendo.

Have you tried your other theory about setting the clock back and erasing the data in your play log? I did and it didn't work...for me atleast, maybe I did it wrong.

Yeah actually it did, but only when I was at that set date (I put it to the 27th of March) and everything was blank in my log.

if someone wants to try it set the date not the clock back to the day before you start your logs save and turn off . turn back on and reset the date to the current day and see if log files re-appear.
