Hacking 2TB Internal drive install?

I can't seem to find solid information on how to successfully install a 2TB internal drive. Best I can find is that the April 2015 360 update now allows 2TB external drives to be formatted and used. Also, that any drive formatted for use that Horizon is needed to install a dashboard such as FSD or Aurora. Xbins has no .bin for 2TB/1TB drives.

I'm personally using a RGH Jasper, and have yet to buy a drive due to unknown compatibility. I know there is one Ebay seller out there that sells 360s with 2TB internal drives, but his history is shady and it's always best to do these things on one's own.

For those that have a 2TB internal drive, what have you done to get it working?

Any 2.5" laptop hdd will work. Take apart the case of one and remove the old, put in the new, put it back together. Put it in the xbox, turn it on, go to storage settings, format, 2 tb internal hdd installed. Install the OG Xbox files and avatar updates after that if you plan on playing og xbox and/or kinect stuff. Only thing for other stuff is xexmenu. You can structure a USB without horizon for that.

Exactly what brickmii said, follow this tut to help you with it.

You can substitute FSD with Aurora if needed.
Latest dashlaunch can be found on homebrew-connection.org, launch it from a USB in XeXMenu.

Does this work on any firmware version, or must it be a later version such as the April 2015 update?

Works on any dash as long as your 360 is RGH'd or JTAG'd

With the currently available security sectors, the maximum space the retail Xbox 360 kernel will allow you to use is 465.76 GB. While you can flash and use larger drives up to 2 TB with FATXplorer, only 465.76 GB will be utilized. It is not possible to raise this utilization limit on retail. This is an entirely different challenge and 465.76 GB will probably be the limit forever. Also note RGH and JTAG consoles do not have this limit.
