Thanks very much. You can tell the chip id from decrypt9's gamecart dumper options-> dump private header option. The rightmost byte on the 2nd line should tell you, ex.I don't have a Japanese 2DS to test this, but I do have a Japanese OoT cart (how do you tell its save chip ID?). Anyway, here's the file I got from Powerdumps3DS after running 2DSaver_installer.

Selected: [Dump Private Header]
Cartridge ID: 9000FEC2
The "45" ones seem to be more rare.
Quoting this for a new page. Keep those powersaves coming peopleI've attached two new apps to the OP to assist with 2DSaver:
2DSaver_installer:
This .3dsx app will install 2DSaver to Zelda OOT very conveniently. It can be installed alongside oot3dhax and gameplay saves.
It displays the contents of all 3 slots so you know where best to put it. (wish the oot3dhax installer had this)
Powerdumps3DS:
This .cia will dump your 2DSaver injected OOT cart save to a powersaves3DS compatible save for other people to install 2DSaver without a second 3ds. Please help me out and do this peopleyou only need an OOT cart and cfw. EUR and JPN are lacking right now for both the 2C****** and 45****** chip IDs. I considered making a new thread for this app, but I don't see it getting much use outside of OOT. I could be wrong, heh. Thanks to @Myria for the powersaves header RE that I ported for this app.
Still working on Cubic Ninja JPN support and maybe 9.2 support.
I'm not sure if this is a 2dsaver related issue even, but go to your system settings / other settings / profile and make sure your profile name, birthday, and region are all set then try to update again.I have test with 2.1.0-4U semi-bricked 2DS with OoT3D.
OoT3D has 4.2.0 cartridge firmware, but it's still bypass to launching from 2.1.0.
So to conclusion, It works on 2.1.0 by using a OoT3D. I unbricked my friend's 2DS.
BUT I had a another problem. After the recover from semi-brick. I can't update this console system.

I don't know why, but maybe it could be conflict between 2DSaver and a9lh cause this situation?

Hello my card id is 9000FEC2 and it's EU. So anytime I try to use your save It says my save is corrupted and deletes it. Help?
Someone with EUR cart with chipID c2*** needs to dump their 2dsaver injected save. Sorry, I can't help here.Hello my card id is 9000FEC2 and it's EU. So anytime I try to use your save It says my save is corrupted and deletes it. Help?
When on firm 2.1, always restore a backup nand from a higher firmware that you should have made before you downgraded (if you were following the plailect guide). ctrtransfer 2.1 images are known to be unstable and really only intended to get your OTP, not for everyday use. When you update from a cart or internet, you're trying to normalize it as an 'everyday use' firmware. Don't do that. I'll add this warning to the OP in a little while.to all if you are impatient like me you will brick your conpsole to a black screen if you stupidly upgrade your system. this is still possible with the update i did with the oot updater. its now on a black screen. guess i bricked my 2ds fully lmfao. luckily i got a second one but...................

This thread isn't for you. It's for 2DS owners who can't get past the initial setup because it asks them to lift the 3D slider, and the 2DS does not have one. You'll need a hardmod (only if you have a NAND backup though, if you don't, there's nothing you can do).So guys, i have a New Nintendo 3DS on 2.1.0, i accidantly formatted it on 2.1.0 and now have a Brick. I read the instructions and didn't get it.
I have:
- A second full functioning N3DS @ Luma CFW
- A Sky3DS (+) Cartridge
Now, what should I do?
I am in Germany. get the Boot failure screen. Can't access recovery mode (Keep staying in Blackscreen), and can't access any game cartridges. But didn't tried the Sky3DS Cartridge. Tell me just for the first, is it generally POSSIBLE to unbrick with this method with no need of a Hardmod?
Many thanks for any answers! U guys are very nice ppl.

You didn't have a9lh installed when you bricked so there's no way you can use Decrypt9. You'd need either a9lh or to have an unbricked console on the right firmware.i heard that i can start decrypt nine with this.

You can use Decrypt9 on it then, but that doesn't help your bricked consoleI have an working n3ds @ luma cfw..
