Hello
I have a 2DS with a short near the PMIC ( 93045A4 ) but can't find any schematic , or , bare pcb that can show me where goes this line

One other thing , the PMIC as many other ic on this console, is cover by a kind of resin , how can we work on that ? no way to remove it ?
thanks
Eric

This is a strange question. What exactly makes you think you have a short there? Why do you think a short would have developed?

I'm sure you can find pictures of the PCB online somewhere.

Cause a full line is short , about 10 capacitors on this line , and near the PMIC
That doesn't answer the question. Can you see physical damage on the PCB? Is there some reason you would expect there to be physical damage on the PCB? Were you stabbing at it yourself?

If you're looking for someone with a similar experience, then you are probably on your own.

There doesn't need to be visible, physical damage to have a short...

Inject voltage on one of the shorted caps (don't go higher than 1.2V) and find out what gets hot. That will help you find the fault in the majority of cases. Chances are high it's just a shorted ceramic cap.

Hi GHJFDTG , yes I 'll try that for sure , I would like to know if there is any schematic , or ,pcb trace exposed to see where this line goes ( I found that for Nintendo switch and switch lite , somebody took off all components to expose all PCB layers , and see all traces ,that's very usefull to follow a problematic line ) .

Anyway , to answer Kwyjor , I got it like that , non working :) , no physical damage at all , I have another 2DS for cross test ,

I don't think anyone made schematics yet. At least i didn't find any. No leaked schematics either.

Any update on that? I have a similar problem with the line of the R button, I have a short circuit but have no idea where it is and how to find it.
