Hacking 2ds on 8.1 turns on, boot sys but stays still

Sup boys.

Well, long story short. I was attempting to softmod a 2ds, i got to 2.1 but forgot to turn on wifi so I couldn't move forward. Anyways, I upgraded the firmware through cartridge using smash bros and it got me to 8.1, but now the system doesn't respond. It boots icons, you can move freely on home menu but doesn't do anything else...

Ideas??? Did I screw up??

On 2.1, all you have to do is shut down, pull the battery, and put it back in, turn it on, and the wifi switch turns on again by default. Can you update it to 11.2 from recovery mode?

What is that? Remember, the 2ds is stock without alh9 due to the wifi issue.

EDIT: I see what you mean. No, it doesn't let me.
EDIT2: I don't know how but It got to update mode, so now I'm updating. Mods, you can clear this one out.
