2.60 PS3, do I install CFW straight from 2.60? or do I install 3.55 and THEN CFW?

I just bought a PS3 on 2.60, and, as the title states, I have a question, do I install CFW straight from 2.60? or do I install 3.55 and THEN CFW?

In theory you can install directly, however it is recommended to install OFW 3.55 first, because that's how most people do it and hardly anyone tests CFW installation on older firmware versions.

P.S. Never install CFW on a firmware lower than 2.50 because if anything goes wrong you will not have recovery mode to salvage your console.
