  • Given my current situation, and due to some "internal" matters, I decided to drop my Quake 3 port on WiiU to focus extremely on the Wii and PS3 ports because I need them fully optimized as much as I can by the end of summer. In case someone's interested in finishing them, I'm willing to share the source code. It can boot up to the main menu, but the renderer needs work.

    Having forced data types from one to another using void pointers, I can confirm it works, but it's very ugly.
    It's funny that most of my irl friends whenever they come at my place never want to play retro games, but most of my online friends are like "I'm gonna fucking rob you"

    Yeah but what I mean a websites going to have more of your related interests like I doubt a Elvis fan website would have that much in common with a 50 cent fan and that's cool. May find some actual people off those websites but do be cautious if meeting up with anyone online. But still personal friends don't always have to like everything you do for you to tolerate them could just be you like each other's personality which I'd take over anything any day.

    I get what you mean! They're my friends nonetheless, and we do still play modern games together! It's just that I wish someone would play retro games with me irl lol.

    Yeah, I pretty much have nobody to invite over to play to begin with. I can feel that. Really, I managed maybe an hour or two of couch co-op all my life. :sad:
    My Quake3 WiiU port is going "great"
    And for great I mean that It's been two weeks and I only got the cinematic intro to render.
    Should I keep going or should I work on one of my next projects? aka Lilium-Arena-Classic for Wii/PS3 so it can crossplay with Dreamcast clients of Quake3? Or should I work on the Xbox One port? At the moment the only consoles that don't have a Q3 port are.... WiiU and Xbox One.
    Not sure if I should put 64 or 128 GB in my PSP.

    64GB should be enough. Max card size is about 128GB.

    I know Adrenaline only shows my free space modulus 512 GB, so I assume that's the limit. Could be other issues forcing a lower limit too though.

    At the moment the only things left are the controllers and the possibility to host games. Once I'm done setting these up the port is done. I did all the improvements I was able to do.
    I haven't been very active lately because I'm focussing on a stupid project just for the sake of keeping myself busy with my silly little games.

    Here's a piece of ioQuake3 running on Wii with no 3D rendering. I wonder how far I can take it to get it even remotely playable and able to crossplay with other ioQuake3 ports...
