    Literally the only thing preventing me from switching to Linux on my Gaming PC: My second monitor fucking up when I put it pass an hz bigger than 60hz. If this and the random crashes that happen when using it didn't happen, I would be a happy person.

    Dude I seriously am having trouble picking the right distro for my familyPC. Just can't find a single one that would at least make the PC more viable to use. Switched it from Mint to Fedora, and now I regret it.

    Personally prefer Fedora, but Mint is more user friendly and based on stability and shit

    Fedora I have on my work pc and it is flawless. But the family desktop... not so much. Fedora runs and whatnot but it seems to be a bit slower with mint. I want to choose one that has xfce and MX linux is there but idk how to install it with ventoy.

    Agreed.... im since been over with this though cause literally every other server im active in allow me to continue posting whatever I have on bluesky and other platforms.

    If you were just raw posting social media links I do get it, I'd find that super annoying too and would prob ask you to not do that. It's not that difficult to just type out a similar thought for the place you're wanting to discuss it.

    Scarlet Don't worry, I get the same thing, too. The weird thing was that I have seen other people do that on occasion, and for a person that doesn't really speak in there much, I found it a bit of a strange thing they've done.

    Okay so after a while of testing a bunch of Linux distros, I believe Ive finally decided on my final bet: Kubuntu on my WorkPC with KDE Plasma. I wished that Kubuntu had a timeshift of some kind similar to how Mint has it, but for now, this should suffice. KDE Neon was my second bet but tbh I dislike having updates every second.

    Only update if they are critical, regardless. It's very important to maintain your OS and have good security.

    i think that almost every update on KDE Neon is critical as almost every one of the updates requires a reboot. I'm fine with using Kubuntu for now, and I might even put Kubuntu on my old Family Desktop PC. Though it having mint is fine ig

    Mint and Kubuntu are both Ubuntu distros with a skin with features that target a specific group of computer users; one that prefers a much easy-to-use environment, and another who's more used to things.

    this shit is the reason I don't have my account removed off this site. Sure, it's not active much (I think), but I'd like to thank this site for being the resource-heavy homebrew/non-homebrew paradise that it is. It also contains some cool and legit people.

    I know it ain't rocket science to be active more, but I'm not really a "forum" type of person, y'know? This stuff is more streamlined and better than most modern social media sites, but tbh, I do have to admit that I had gotten used to the lattter...

    Ngl, I'm going to miss having those black themes. I decided to make my entire phone AMOLED themed, and the lack of one for this site YET makes me hope that the team is able to get the job done very soon.

    While you're at it, I think you should up the profile post count to a thousand. Just saying. :tpi::creep:

    The thing that I hate the most about user profile posts, though, is the limit of characters you can fit. Currently, it's at 400, and I just hate how I have to make separate posts as parts in the same vain as Twitter.

    I thought Twitter long since abandoned the 400-character limit, allowing for multi-paragraph posts.

    Its actually 420. Twitter has it with 290, I believe. Bluesky has 300. The other Xenforo Sites I use have a thousand. I believe thats actually the maximum.

    When this site was previously down, almost evrryone has talked on the Discord server and once this site was back to normal, ive noticed that the activity had started to go down significantly.

    Did people really just hop on there and go back once everything finished? Sad tbh

    Has anyone ever found a way to completely remove Edge from a Windows 11 install? I just don't want for it to be potentially taking resources off my machine when I am using Waterfox. While I'm at it, Good Morning, GBATemp. Long time no see.

    @The Real Jdbye The good thing is that you can reduce the amount of tracking by using Chris Titus Tech's WinUtil which has many options of disabling pre-installed features you don't need.

    @SylverReZ If you remove the edge updater, supposedly that won't happen. But major Windows updates kinda do whatever they want anyway.

    As for using Linux, I can't on my Gaming machine but for my workPC, KDE Neon and Mint are some of my most favorite distros so far. The distro on there is the former and I just love what Plasma looks like a lot.

    Thanks to @XFlak, I have been able to to get my White Original WIi back to it's original stock state after 2 years of seeking for help. :D

    Do I plan on re-modding it? Maybe, now since there won't be any conflicts with old and current softmods, but for now, I think I have earned a break..

    To celebrate Konami finally giving us a new Salamander/Gradius title, I'm going to be streaming the entirety of Gradius from the first one in 1985 to the latest one as of today which is Gradius Rebirth. I'm going to be streaming them on Twitch.

    I guess I won't receive my help for my White Wii, I guess. I'm probably just going to stop using it permanently and focus on my Blue Wii. Maybe there was a reason for it. I don't know, but I guess that Wii is essentially e-waste now. And what's worse is that it still works.

    okay so I don't know if I said my thoughts about the Galaxy s25, but if I haven't... yeah that device fucking sucks; stick to what you previously had, I am not trading my baby s24 that I had gotten recently for a device that removes basic functionality from a device.

    Any no Ultra versions of the phone got an Exynon (which while a bit better than before is still underwhelming and battery drainy, heat issues etc) instead of the Snapdragon.

    Only countries that got it on the normal and Plus version were the US, Canada, China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.

    I'm sticking with the same phone I've had since college days. It's a Samsung but not a Galaxy and it doesn't let me down. Not slow, does all of the tasks I need, camera is okay but not perfect but good enough, and it's durable.
