Windbound leads October's Games with Gold

GWG Oct 2022.jpg

Microsoft has announced this month's Games with Gold, Windbound and Bomber Crew: Deluxe Edition. For those of you wondering why there's only two games this month, Microsoft announced back in July that they would no longer be offering Xbox 360 games come October, so from here on out users will only be getting two Xbox One games per month.

Windbound (2020) is a survival-exploration game that released to mixed reviews. Bomber Crew: Deluxe Edition (2017) is a real-time strategy game that has been compared to FTL: Faster Than Light, about a bomber crew in World War II. It's received generally positive reviews.

Windbound will be available from October 1 to 15, and Bomber Crew: Deluxe Edition from October 16 to 31.

Wow. And people had the nerve to say the ps plus offerings for october were bad.
It's always hit or miss with both these services. They've both got established user bases now that aren't expected to suddenly grow or shrink by a lot, so it's not surprising the incentives for joining have gotten weaker.

Waiting for the day they finally merge Gold with Game Pass permanently. Seems like they're getting away from giving away quality games and just want you to subscribe for the rotating offerings of game pass.

GwG is kind of dead at this point.

If you're subbed, it's to play online.

When they announced that they weren't giving 360 games, I thought they were going to keep giving 3 games, but they would all be Xbone or later. Lame.
Yes i thought the same too, shame. Hell i would love the x360 games still rotating as they could get more of them and some we missed out on there
