Hello.:)

I would need your help please on following Case:

A Black Wii U 32 GB - NO EQUIPMENT/No Gamepad

Issue - It stays on following Screen after Powering on:

The only Video connection that works is HDMI.
Do I have any Chance to get it connected/work with an other Gamepad ?

Thank you for your Help and your Advises.:)

If you can get another Gamepad (doesn’t matter whether it’s black or white), you should be able to sync it: https://en-americas-support.nintend...-to-sync-a-wii-u-gamepad-with-a-wii-u-console

AFAIK you will need to do this, as you need a Gamepad to press the button to dismiss the message, and to open the home menu to pair other controllers.

This won’t, by itself, solve the resolution problem, but you should be able to go into system settings and pick a lower resolution.

If you don’t have a Gamepad and the resolution isn’t compatible with your screen, where did the message you showed appear?

Since I have no Symbols on the TV (the Error Message, remember ?)
I can not enter the correct Sequence....

The Error Message appears after a few Seconds,no Wii U Logo or Menu Screen before.

Thank you.:)

You might try connecting it to another display if you have one. If not, is there a way to launch a game on boot and bypass that? (I have more experience with the Wii than the Wii U)

I have tried different ones, unfortunately only HDMI works and the Error Message comes immediately up.

Thank you,I will try the Game,I think Games only works when within the Wii U Menu.:)

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Not so fun fact: the Wii U's Gamepad is also region locked.
The Black Wii U is PAL.:)
Also the "other" GamePad.

Thank you.:)

Look for other hardware defects before putting in a new BT module as that looks really bad... Anyway, the gamepad should connect via 5ghz wifi, not 2.4ghz bluetooth (anyone correct me if I'm wrong, please)... Just saying...

I reconsidered my Choice and put the Wi U under "Totalausfall".:)
(complete failure)

I can live with that, because it is not another bricked Wii U on the List.

Hello.😊

Update for this over 2 Year old Wii U Case:

With the awesome Recover Tool from @GaryOderNichts it is possible to "reset" the PIN to "1111" and readout the GamePAD Combo.💖💖💖💖💖👌

Yeah,a Black Wii U for me !!!!!!

Unfortunately no........it boots up now with an black Screen right after the Wii U Logo with an "Hint":

"Error 160xx.... there is a Problem with the Drive"......🙄😢
(I already wondered, why the Wii U is only 1 Time searching for a Disc on the Powering Up Process....)
So ok,NOW it is a R.I.P. Wii U but with no Brick.....

Have a very nice Day,my Wi U Friends.😉

I was just about to post the link about checking the the filters CM9 and CM10 for continuity here as well.
Age does take a toll. Getting slow.

I only partially assemble things until I'm sure they work normally. Too often something was wrong requiring disassembly again.
