So I was looking at moving my Wii U's external HDD to my 360 and using my unused SSD to my wii U. Does the Wii U support TRIM? It's needed to ensure longevity of the drive whenever the Wii U writes on it.

I saw many threads on Reddit where people make internal SSD mods, but no information if TRIM is supported.

Well any external HDD on wii u isn't recommended as u will need external power
It is recommended with external power. SSDs aren't recommended cause of wearing them out. From Nintendo itself:
Q: Is the Wii U compatible with Solid State Drives?
A: To ensure maximum performance between your Wii U and an external storage device, we recommend using a hard-disc drive (HDD) with a dedicated power source (i.e., using an A/C adapter).

Q: Can I use a Flash/Thumb drive as an external storage device?
A: Because these devices have a limited number of rewrites and are not suited to long-term storage of important game data, we do not recommend the use of Flash/thumb drives as an external storage device solution. For best results, we recommend using a external storage device with its own power supply that connects to the Wii U via the USB port on the console.

Commercial Flash memory has a limit on the number of times you can write over it and we don't recommend flash memory devices for long-term storage of important save data.
