ps4 not diaplaying home screen apps correctly

Hi Thanks for reading.

Usually with the ps4 it displays the last app used on the home screen, now it has stopped doing this and display the same apps all of the time.

How do i get rid of this and go back to the old way of the ps4 displaying the last use app on the home screen

Something is wrong with your sort priority.

You will probably have to rebuild the database. Sort priority of 100 means it's mobile. You're liable to have browser problems with a messed up sort priority.

Thanks. I had a crash, then lost the database and all installed games, but i managed to get them back with help from a few youtube videos and rebuilt the datbase.
The games on the internal hard drive came back, but not the games on the external harddrive.
Then turned on the ps4 a few days later, and all the external hard drive games came back for some reason. So i want to do a database back up just in case i get a crash again, but the ps4 has gone weird on me.
If you think i should rebuild the database, how is this done, is there a tutorial anywhere

Think its the karo jailbreak. I've compared the problems i am having with other people's, and it's only the people on the karo jailbreak that are experiencing them as well as me.

Okay, sorry, no luck with the karo.
Do you know how to address the problem with the ps4 not showing the latest apps used, all the ps4 does is show the same apps on the homescreen again and agin, it does not change.
I don't have a database back up to restore from.
The ps4 is acting weird because it is not letting me delete old games. The delete option is available, but once i actually play the game, then go back into options, the delete option is gone. Modded warefare addressed this in this video, and i got the delete option back:
But the problem stil returns, once i play the game, the delete option is removed.

Thanks! I did change can remove, but then the same thing happens again, once i play the game the delete option disappears from the options menu all over again.

I have an idea that may work. put all of your games on the external hdd, rebuild the database, unmount the drive while using hen, then mount again. wait for a bit, let the games be repopulated without the need to use a db rebuilder, if that somehow screwed something up. you can check the games increasing by going into library and looking at the number of games you have, the number should be slowly increasing.

Thanks! The thing is i have changed the internal hard drive to a 4tb seagate, and the external is 4tb seagate as well. The ps4 will not let me attach a second external hard drive.
The internal and external hard drives are nearly full, so i don't have the space on the external to move games onto from the internal.
The only thing i can think of is to remove the external and replace with an empty drive, so can transfer the games from the internal onto the empty drive, but then how to put the games back onto the internal?
Also the only other thing i can think of is to use lapy package extractor to remove the internal hard drive games as package files, but lapy is not compatabile with firmware 9.0

you could move them to another external. the ps5 is like this as well iirc, where you can have more than one external, but only one can be used at any one time. as for lapy, you could transfer over the games, since the pkg files on the system are exactly the same as when you installed them (md5 matches). connect an ethernet cable to the system, and transfer user/app over to your computer. hopefully, you have enough space.

I'm not really sure why this is happening to you. however, I can pretty much assure it's your app.db that's responsible. this is why it's always important to keep a backup of it.

Thanks! If i copy all the games to my pc, then what, What should i do after that.
Should i wipe clean the ps4's internal hard drive, then reinstall 9.0 firmware, then reinstall the games, then make a database back up.
Or is there any other way

you could do that if you want, but it sounds like a long process. I'm really not sure what could be causing your issue if it keeps reverting back. is canremove still set as enabled after it won't let you delete the game anymore?

Thanks ! I have not double checked yet. In db browser for sqlite, i opened the app.db file which i copied from the ps4. i set them all to one. It should be: if the value is " zero " in the can remove column then the game cannot be removed, if set to " one " then the game can be removed.
All i did was just checked on the ps4 in the options menu and the delete option is gone again, after i had set the values to one. also the ps4 is reporting the wrong size for the games, games which should be 40 gig is being reported as 150 gig, so i'm suspecting that there may be something wrong with the ps4, a deeper issue with something else other than the database problem.
